EMMETT TILL’S ACCUSER COMES CLEAN AFTER ALL THESE YEARS…
Well, it is Black History Month. And I really can’t remember when this actually took place… the year when a young 15 year old youth went south to Mississippi from Chicago, to spend the summer with relatives in the south.

In looking back at a newspaper article on the story, I see where it took place in 1955. The summer Emmett Till went to spend what was to be his lastsummer visiting those cousins, and an aunt and uncle down south. Because somewhere during that visit in August 1955 it was said
that Emmett took certainly liberties with some white woman. He got out of place… he crossed that divide that colored and white were not to cross… because he was just being a young innocent kid… unaware of the do’s and the don’t of the then… and maybe still in some parts of the south.
Supposedly young Emmett while in this woman’s family store had told the white woman how he had dated a woman just like her up in Chicago. And upon leaving the store it was said that young Emmett Till gave that woman 1 of those big long whistles, that men did back in that time when they thought a woman was beautiful… somewhat of a wolf call or something.
It was that story of Emmett Till which always colored me and my thoughts about how when you leave home… if you lived north of the Mason/Dixon Line… how you should behave very differently if you were to go down south.
Something like how you had to remember when you crossed that line …that Mason/Dixon Line going into the south, that you were no longer in the north… or in your little Northern town or big city, like Chicago or Detroit. And how remembering this… that this ‘black and white thang’ could possibly save your life.
I recall once just we had crossed that line 1 summer on 1 our many drives south to visit my grand mother in the south, that once we pulled up to a motel where my mother sent me out to go inside and ask how much it would cost to get a room?
An occasional stop at a motel to freshen up used to be a habit of my family sometimes while we were making the more that 20 hour trip down south to Florida. But this particular day as I almost was about to reach for the door leading into the motel office, out came running two black boys… or teens… something I couldn’t really tell how old they were as they came running through that door shouting back to me, ‘Get of of here! Go! Go!’
I immediately ran back to our car and reported to my mother and father what those 2 boys had told me as they had whizzed pass me and shouted for me to get out of there.
Suddenly, my mother started screaming at me to get in the car… and she started hollering they ain’t gonna take my sons. ‘They ain’t gonna take my sons.’
Boy, I had never seen anything like it or ever heard my mother react in such a way. But years later I understood.
At that time my brothers were young kids… maybe 10 or 11 or something like that. But my mother having grown up in the south… my being a Jamaican had grew up in Jamaica so he had not really experienced any that Jim Crow stuff of the deep south. But my mother knew it well. And she knew that it would not matter to white folks that my brothers had not robbed or done whatever those 2 boys had done… but that they were black and that in of itself would have been enough for my young brothers to have been taken …in place of the real crooks or whatever they were who had come running out of that motel office.
I do not think we ever again stopped at another motel in all the years we continued to travel back and forth to Florida after that.
For years, I think that up until this very point I had always felt that Emmett Till should have been told how to behave, and carry himself while down there in the south. I always thought it was his mother’s fault for not sitting him down, and telling him how to behave down there when it came to being around white folks. It was the typical blaming that many people do when they blame the dead for being dead. Like some people blame Trayvon Martin for being out late… or out in the rain in that white neighborhood when he got shot and killed.
I thought that way because I was stupid. I was blind. Ignorant of the fact that many times it just didn’t matter what we did do or not, irregardless there was a very likely could still come up dead
He was a kid. And you could have told him something a thousand times, and would you believe you wouldn’t have to tell him it again… as we all do when it comes to talking to our children?
Emmett Till did not live in the south. Nor was there any reason for me to believe that what had been said regarding that story had been true. For you see, evidently I had believed something inappropriate must have been done for those white men to go in the middle of the night seeking this young boy, regarding something something he had said and/or done.
That is the irony of it. How readily we eat up the things we see or hear.
It had been a lie. It had all been a lie. And because some white woman had lied on her son, Mrs. Till was forced to go down to Mississippi and collect the bloated remains of her young teen age son, her only child… I think… and bring him back to Chicago in order to bury him.
Years later after Emmett Till had been viciously murder by a group of white men in the middle of the night, after going to his relative’s house and demanding that they send him out to them or they would burn them out and all up in their home.
How could that woman possibly live with herself after that?
Years later, I moved to Chicago and while working as a church secretary for a pastor by the name of Dr. A. L. Reynolds, Jr., I was told something by Dr. Reynolds, who pastored Sixth Grace United Presbyterian Church, at Cottage Grove and 35th Street, on the South Side.
Dr. Reynolds 1 day came into the office and for some reason began telling a story, of how he had had to run away from his home, which had been back in Arkansas. The reason he had to pick up and get out of there he told me, was because some white woman wanted him and he didn’t want her. That is exactly how he put it. He said, ‘she wanted me. But I didn’t want her. So, I had to leave.’ Because I did not want her to lie on me. Because in those days a white woman could say a black man raped her and they (meaning the other white people… mostly men) would kill him.
So, Dr. Reynolds said he got of Arkansas as quickly as he could.
And he said he left Arkansas running because he didn’t want her to tell a lie on him.
Through the our history in this country many black people have found it necessary to get up and get out of town in the middle of night, headed north or to other points unknown. Because they were afraid of some type of bad consequence which might take hold upon them… or befall them due to a lie… or some white person wanting something that belonged to them.
It comes to mind that even in Biblical text Abram lied. He was forced to lie when he and Sarah went to enter Egypt. And he became afraid that the king… otherwise known as Pharaoh… would want his wife, Sarai…as she was then before being renamed by God Sarah. Because the Bible says she was fair and goodly to look upon.
So, Abram felt that he would be killed by Pharaoh. So, therefore, told Sarai that they should say that he was her brother rather than her husband.
The end of this story is that Pharaoh and the people of his kingdom are overtaken by what the Bible calls a ‘great plague.’ Pharaoh questions Abram and asked him why he had not told him that the woman, Sarai… was his wife?
We come into the 21st Century now, some more than 60 years later and now we hear that the white woman who had told her husband and his white buddies, that Emmett Till had whistled and spoken to her… a white woman inappropriately… that she had lied.
All that pain and heartbreak … tears shed had been over a lie.
A young boy was pulled and dragged out into the dark of night… tortured and beaten …then partially burned and thrown into the river… to be found days later a bloated beyond recognition dead decomposing body. Because that woman lied. And now …I guess on her death bed… or on her near death bed she tells the truth… that she lied about the whole thing.
How did that woman do that… when she knew what the consequences for any black man would be?
She knew what times she lived in. But just did not care. She told that lie knowing that some out of control white drunken men were going to go and find them a white boy, and have what they called ‘have some fun.’ While they enjoyed torturing him and beating him…and eventually killing him.
How did this young boy respond?
Can you imagine what was going through his mind and heart… scared beyond his wits…
kicked…slapped…punched… stomped… cut… lit on fire…
And all because some white woman thought it nothing to lie on him. And me thinking years later that it had been his fault… because nobody every trained him properly how to behave around white folks.
This reminds me of how I hear black commentators on television now when they are talking about black men being shot and killed by white police officers. Everybody saying they should have kept their hands on the dashboard… or where they could be seen… or not moved too quickly… etc… etc… etc….
Blaming the victim because racist people still abound….

GATED COMMUNITIES…and the ZIMMERMAN CASE…
The first time I actually saw a gated community it was a warm summery day, and I was driving around with Mother Rochelle looking for some beach front property to buy.
We were in Coney Island when we came upon it… a gated community. We were kind of in awe of it… because it was kind of off by itself. We did not recognize immediately what it was that we were looking at… as it is just not the kind of thing you see in New York City. And certainly not out in Coney Island ever… least ways I had not.
But by this time Coney Island had been converted into, I guess you could say, some type of urban oasis. Gone were all the tall brick story housing complexes that used to line the skies in this section of Brooklyn, known to the world as Coney Island. The place looked totally different and it was hard to believe what had once been. I didn’t see the boardwalk or the amusement rides… none of it. It was as if somebody had taken a pencil and erased it… all.
Then that is when Mother and I spotted it, a group of houses surround by a brick wall. Up until this point… some time ago I had heard about gated communities but had never seen 1… or thought about it when I had seen them. Because who thinks of these kind of things… gated communities? I see such structures as just being more or less just a group of apartments or houses… or housing complexes… or new housing developments. But this place was fenced in with wires going all around… almost like a prison. The houses looked like that they had been shoved in and bunched up on top of each other… and that is what caught our attention.
The houses did not look like anything spectacular to me. None of them had any real land around them. Just a group of regular New York style non-distinct houses, of various kinds. Nothing big or fancy. Nothing that looked rizie… just plain common ordinary houses. Nothing to brag about. But they were fenced in by this brick wall that went all the way around it.
I remember saying to Mother, “Look Mother, a gated community.”
I was surprised to see it… and especially in New York City… and Mother was too. And even more especially in Coney Island… a place where nothing but public housing complexes used to stand, for as far as the eyes could see… but they were now all gone.
I can’t remember having seen 1 public housing complex that day in this section of Coney Island, that I used to visit often once upon a time.
Actually, they are not all certainly gone… at least ways not all of New York’s public housing… otherwise known as projects. But many have now been transformed. The old tenants moved or were forced out by the city of the developers, who had come in to possess this waterfront section of Brooklyn, known as Coney Island. And the buildings that those people all once used to live in have become condos and co-ops, which are very popular in New York City among those who can afford it. Or they were torn down totally. And that was what Mother Rochelle and I were looking at… an area where all the old housing complexes were totally gone.
But while writing my blog, THE ZIMMERMAN CASE WHAT A FARCE, I had heard in 1 of the YouTube videos that I put into that blog… how Zimmerman’s gated community had had a few recent robberies.
In 1 of those videos…. 1 of the homeowners, said to have been 1 of Zimmerman’s neighbor in the gated community… he commented on how a couple of the houses had recently been broken into and robbed. How Zimmerman had stopped robbers from breaking into his house. And he also stated this was the reason for why Zimmerman should have been on his guard for any suspicious characters in their neighborhood… being that Zimmerman was Captain of the neighborhood watch.
Since having heard that I have been thinking… Gated community… neighborhood watch?
Didn’t people move into gated communities for security?
Isn’t that the purpose for gated communities coming about?
Then why did Zimmerman’s complex… being that it was supposed to be a gated community need to have a neighborhood watch?
Something was not working here. Either the police in Sanford were not doing their job. Or the gate… usually some type of high brick wall… wasn’t working either.
Or maybe these people were just lying. Maybe they hadn’t had those break-ins.
I would love to see the records regarding break-ins in Zimmerman’s neighborhood. And I would love to know exactly how long their neighborhood watch had been in effect?
Were these just a bunch of fearful people?
I mean who else would elect to live in a gated community… except for people who are fearful of the world around them.
The gate in gated communities is meant to keep out certain elements. These elements usually mean… the wrong kind of people… drugs and the woes that the rest of the world has to face simply by living among them.
Was Zimmerman’s complex actually under attack by the outside world?
If outsider’s were coming in… which as stated by the man in that video… some young black men robbing them… who was letting them in?
Most gated communities have security… mostly at the main entrance gate if nowhere else.
When I was in Altamonte Springs a small Florida town not far out from Sanford, where Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin… I recall visiting a friend whose parents lived in such a complex. While driving into the complex upon her directions to me… I drove through the front gate and up to her parent’s house. At the time it had not dawn on me that they had lived in a gated community. I saw it only as an up-scale new housing complex.
When you consider it… isn’t it kind of insane to believe you can lock yourself away from all the trouble of the world?
Evidently, Zimmerman’s housing complex had some problems. Otherwise there would not have been a need for someone like George Zimmerman… operating in the capacity in which they had assigned him… Captain of their neighborhood watch.
What were they paying all that money for… if their gated complex was no safer than that of the people on the other side of their wall, which was suppose to be their gate of secured safety.
Had none of them considered that the elements which lived inside among them was just as dangerous… if not more so than many of the people on the opposite side of their wall?
Because George Zimmerman lived within their midst.

ZIMMERMAN TRIAL ONE BIG FARCE…
If it had been a Saturday Night Live skit from beginning to end then maybe it might have been funny. Except for the fact that someone’s life was grievously taken this whole thing was anything but a joke.
I really do believe that the prosecution… the DA office… should first of all be investigated. Because this trial was one of the biggest disasters since Ojay Simpson. From the picking of the jurors to that supposed medical autopsy doctor something was seriously wrong.
Why in the first place were 6 women chosen for the jury, and primarily, if not all of them, white?
One could hardly call that a group of George Zimmerman’s peers. None of them appeared to me to look in anyway like George Zimmerman’s true peers… whom I would believe to be men about his age, of similar backgrounds etc.. etc.. And on what merits were those women chosen?
Based upon things said by Juror #37 once it was all over… if she can be believed… they all went into the jury pool already with their minds made up before they were even chosen to be jurors. And some like Juror #37 … I have no doubt also had hidden agendas like coming out with their own book deals and television interviews.
So, just how did such people make the cut and end up in that jury box?
Why would anybody question supposed jurors saying… ‘Knock knock, whose there?’
What kind of jury selection did that of retarded examination of possible jurors bring about?
Maybe the prosecution was just trying to determine who was brain dead from who wasn’t. And he chose the brain dead.
When you truly look at this case you have to ask yourself was the prosecution for Trayvon Martin’s family… or was the DA office working against them?
When doctor KooKoo… don’t know his name and I am not going to try to find out. But when that man took the stand… now the whole thing really went into the Twight Light Zone.
Was this man really a doctor?
Had he not ever been prepared by the prosecution office for this hearing before hand?
Did he really know anything about doing or handling an autopsy?
To all these questions the answers appears to be a resounding ‘NO.’
From the moment that autopsy doctor opened his mouth the lawyers supposedly representing Trayvon Martin, the victim in this case, should have entered ‘OBJECTION’ after objection. Through this whole trial Perry Mason and Matlock were probably rolling over in their graves… and they weren’t even real lawyers. But I sure could hear some ‘objections‘ needed to be stated.
For 1 thing, the autopsy doctor referred to having conferred with another doctor regarding marijuana. Objection!
Since the other doctor was not there to substantiate that conversation… testimony of such should have been objected to.
Two, that autopsy doctor came to court with some notes which he stated he had prepared the night before. Objection!
Here was a guy who clearly stated that he could not remember the facts of his autopsy. Then why should notes written by him some… what 12 or so months later be allowed in as part of his testimony?
If he could not remember any facts on that autopsy, then clearly any notes written mostly recently would be moot and should have been of no apparent good in this case. Because they would be based upon his present memory or recollections as opposed to when he actually performed the autopsy.
Thirdly, the autopsy doctor was confrontational… and I don’t know how long he had been in this country… but he kept acting like he didn’t understand English. So, then how good was a testimony of anyone like that… who might not be really sure about what he was saying?
One has to wonder whether or not the autopsy doctor was paid off?
And if he worked in my department… after that performance on the witness stand… whether he was either performing to be highly incompetent or really is highly incompetent… I would have sent him packing. FIRED!
That guy was definitely highly unprofessional. And I cannot help but wonder if it was not just an act on his part.
Nextly, one really has to wonder….
‘WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD THE PROSECUTION CALL this woman to testify?
Did they not go over her testimony with her?
Did they not know what questions to avoid… like ‘what did he say about the man watching him?’ Her response…. ‘He called him a creepy ass cracker.’
Could that testimony not be any more damaging to this case?
She had to have say that to the prosecution before they even put her on the stand. So, they knew it would be damaging to Trayvon, for the jurors to hear that.
It appears that the prosecutors in this case purposely set about to sabotage it. Not once… not twice …but time and time again.
There are various other parts of this case which just do not add up. Such as why the prosecution did not push further with all those witnesses on Zimmerman’s side which claimed it was ‘Georggie’s voice‘ that they recognized as the person screaming.
We live in a time of vast technological equipment. Equipment that is able to do voice recognition… voice separation… voice isolation… voice tracking… voice this and voice that… Including removal of any additional sounds outside of what you are focusing on. They have equipment that can do just about anything you want it to do… including voice distortion and correction.
So, then why was no technical equipment used in this case to determine who the possible screamer really was?
Equipment could have been rolled into that court and that recording played over and over for those witnesses… recordings mixed with fake voices screaming to see if they could determine the real recording or the fake. Experts in sound and voice could have been called in to testify… but they were not. Nor was any equipment used to decipher whose voice it really was that had been screaming.
I listened to the 911 calls with the screams in the background… and coming from years in radio I have a very good ear. And those screams did not come from a 27 or 28 year old man. Nor was the voice non-African American. And on top of all of that… just ask yourself who screams for help when they have a gun in their hand?
Remember, now… that there was no evidence that Trayvon’s hand was ever on Zimmerman’s gun. There was no evidence in fact that Trayvon ever even touched Zimmerman. The forensic people found no traces of Zimmerman’s DNA under Trayvon’s nails… nor any bruises on his hands or knuckles.
The other issue in this case was the fact that there was so much 911 evidence in this case was against George Zimmerman. On 1 recording of a 911 operator, she clearly asked Zimmerman ‘are you following him?‘
To which Zimmerman answered ‘yes.’
That operator told Zimmerman to stop following Trayvon and to get back into his car. Which George Zimmerman certainly from the outcome in the death of Trayvon… totally ignored.
Also, based upon the merits of that 911 recording alone Zimmerman was clearly stalking Trayvon. Therefore, Zimmerman was the predator… a man with a gun who approached an unarmed young person, who later was found shot to death by him. One bullet straight into his heart.
I have no doubt that George Zimmerman perpetrated a hate crime against Trayvon Martin. And that his call to 911 was a systematic attempt on George Zimmerman’s part to build a scenario for that 911 operator, for circumstances that he would later claim provoked him into the killing of Trayvon Martin. An act which I believe came across Zimmerman’s sick mind probably from the moment his eyes fell upon the young black teenage, Trayvon Martin, walking in the darkness of night… in the rain on his way home from the corner store.
The statements that Zimmerman made in his 911 call clearly show a concise and calculated mind working, at setting up a painted picture of the young black teenage male, whom he was following claiming that he ‘looked like’ a criminal and ‘was out to do’ something illegal. While on the contrary, Trayvon Martin was just a kid who happened to be on his way home from a local corner store. And it was Zimmerman who was the 1 working with a criminal mind… and a blind intent to kill a young innocent boy.
There are many people who believe that George Zimmerman was protecting himself… standing his ground, if you will. As Florida has a law called ‘Stand Your Ground.’ Meaning you have a right to protect yourself if you feel that your life is threatened.
Zimmerman had taken self-defense classes, was carrying an armed weapon, and he had aspiration of being a cop and/or lawyer like his dad, who just so happened to be a judge. Trayvon Martin had not taken any martial arts classes, and was only carrying a small bag of candy and a can of ice tea. Based upon that… who do you really think was more lethal?
I sincerely hope the Federal Government steps into this case, because the ‘Stand Your Ground’ Law is a very dangerous piece of law. It reminds me of the ol’ south when white men would purposely go out seeking to start trouble with a black man or woman. So, they would step in front of them or do something to elicit some type of response from the victim, via their coercion of them. Whereby many black men and women were either killed, endangered, terrorized, houses burnt down, lost their businesses, and/or chased out of town etc…
Such laws as Stand Your Ground were and are not meant to protect all people… just certain people. And this case involving the brutal murder of Trayvon Martin is a clear indication of that.
What right more or is necessary …or does this law of ‘Stand Your Ground’ give to anyone, that has or is not given already by the Declaration of Independence in this country?
The Declaration of Independence states ‘all men’… not some have more rights than others. It states that all men are created equal… with certain unalienable rights. And it begins by saying… We hold these truths to be self-evident. It then goes on to say…. that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Unalienable rights… what are those?
The right to defend ourselves is a right given to each and everyone of us. Whereas, such laws as ‘Stand Your Ground’ are intended and are only applied for certain people… and not for others.
Back in the days… lets go to the days after slavery when supposedly the slaves had been freed. Yet, they were not allowed to look white people directly in the eyes. And often were taunted into some type of reaction for which they may have been killed… whipped… spat upon… mocked etc…
One could hardly say that they… those black folk then did not have a right to respond to such actions to provoke them. But based upon certain imposed or otherwise implied or ‘understood’ laws, mostly in the old south… laws not written but understood based upon you… meaning black folk… knowing ‘our so-called place.’
Did not Trayvon Martin have a right to go to the store, and a reasonable right then be able to return home safely without some mad man shooting him down killing him for no apparent reason… other than his skin color?
Where were the rights of Trayvon Martin ever addressed in this case of the City of Sanford vs. George Zimmerman?
If indeed, Trayvon had been straddling Zimmerman in a fist fight.
Did not Trayvon Martin have the God given right given to him by nature, if no other law could protect him… than the law of self-preservation?
Why should Travyon Martin then have been demonized for trying to protect himself against someone whom he perceived to be a perpetrator who was out to kill him… when Zimmerman walked upon him and shoved that gun up in his face?
There was not 1 point or place where you can truly say that the prosecution truly tried to win this case. They did a lousy job of picking jurists. They failed to object to various infractions and irregularities as they appeared in this case. And they never seemed committed to win at all.
71-year-old black man found guilty of manslaughter, jury rejects 'Stand Your Ground' claim
If the truth be told this case never should have been held in Sanford, FL… but in some other county if not state. The authority and connections of Zimmerman’s judge father made this case an impossible case to get a fair trial in such a small little town… with so much at stake, and so many hands easily washed.
This is 1 of those rare times that I must say I disagree with Bill… That is Bill Crosby. Bill says you can’t prove that Zimmerman is a racist. Yes, that might well be somewhat true. But you can’t prove that he isn’t a racist either. Ooooh, wait a minute…
Wasn’t it Zimmerman who did all that racial profiling of Trayvon Martin in his 911 call, before he actually shot him to death?
That alone gave you a keen insight as to what or how George Zimmerman felt about young black males. And his actions spoke the rest.
Anyone who would have racially profile someone as in-dept as George Zimmerman painted that picture in his 911 call, of what Trayvon Martin looked like, his demeanor… his supposed behavior… etc. cannot be considered anything less than a racist. And there is no way of getting around that.
Zimmerman said that the person he was ‘following’ was someone who looked like he was up to no good… that it appeared as though he’s on drugs or something… he’s black or Hispanic… he has his hands on his waistband (meaning like he was packing a gun). And then Zimmerman said… ‘these @#!# they always get away.’

In the CNN story below the person being interviewed states that the Trayvon Martin case was not a case of racial profiling, because racial profiling can only take place when someone is involved in law enforcement. I am a dissenting voice to this theory and statement with regard to this case. Because that definition can be extended to include anyone ‘believing’ he is a law enforcement officer. There is no secret about George Zimmerman and history of fantasying becoming a cop.
A psychologist should have been brought into this case who could have clearly said that George Zimmerman portrayed certain traits, habits, and forms of behavior and language that indicated he felt he was operating as a cop. When taken into perspective even George’s scio-background, family history, and his history of prepping himself and taking up martial arts etc. all unquestionably show Zimmerman to be a man possessed with a deep rooted desire to be cop, or someone involved in some matter in law enforcement. Hence, his position as ‘CAPTAIN’ of the neighborhood watch.
It is quite clear that George Zimmerman wanted to be a police officer. When that avenue did not open up to him… he then tried to study law. And that failed too.
So, the next step was to join the neighborhood watch. It is not hard to draw a correlation between that and George actually being a cop on the beat. George Zimmerman was clearly and unequivocally a wanna-be-cop, and all his actions and language on the night, in which he confronted Trayvon Martin, attest to it. And this is not a large leap or even a very short hop to get to.
The other thing about Zimmerman… he obviously suffers from a feeling of wanting to be a hero. He appears to be the kind of person you read about who goes to work in a hospital…and awaits an opportunity to unplug somebody’s life support machine… then quickly plug it back in just in the brink of time, then claim that he saved that person’s life. When in reality he was the person who had thrown the person’s life into jeopardy in the first place.
It is not hard to see that Zimmerman was… or is… a loser. Perhaps even a black sheep in a family, of what seems to be full of people who are professionally involved in law enforcement in varying capacities. But everything and time that George tried to do in order to get in… it would appear that he just could not make the cut.
I had a dispute with a friend over George’s weight. Because at 1 point there arose this question of Zimmerman’s weight as opposed to the weight of Trayvon Martin. Which of course should have also been a key point in this case.
When Zimmerman finally turned himself in… some 45 days after the killing of Trayvon… it was apparent to me that Zimmerman had gone on some type of crash diet during those days. The issue was whether or not Zimmerman weighted considerably more than Trayvon Martin? Even in the picture of above of Zimmerman being lead into court … you can see that the suit he is wearing is a lot larger than he is. However, during the hearing walla… a much fuller fatter Zimmerman, and his clothes seem to fit him just fine. Meaning Zimmerman’s body mass between the time Zimmerman shot Trayvon and the time Zimmerman finally went to trial… shows Zimmerman at his true weight and mass, when the young teenager was shot to death. But, of course, Zimmerman’s side had good reason to want to dispel the fact that Zimmerman was much heavier in body weight to Trayvon. Hence, Zimmerman’s miraculous weight lose before turning himself into the police department in Sanford. Otherwise, that story made up by the Defense Attorneys of a helpless and fearful George Zimmerman at the hands of a Trayvon Martin just would not have played out. Nobody would have believed that.
So, George had to lose that weight. Which, of course, as you see in his court pictures that he totally gained back.
Then there is the camera footage of Zimmerman that night following the supposed fight that lead to the untimely demise of a young Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman’s head had no cuts or lacerations.
If the truth be told there were a lot of ‘so-called’ myths that the Zimmerman team wanted to dispel… and some they wanted to seriously promote.
Some myths about Zimmerman…
- 1. He always told the truth
- 2. His family was full of truth loving people
- 3. Zimmerman didn’t stalk Trayvon
- 4. Zimmerman was really in fear of his life
- 5. Zimmerman feared Trayvon was going to kill him
- 6. Zimmerman was a good law abiding citizen
- 7. Zimmerman had great reasons to believe his life was in danger
Some myths the Zimmerman team wanted to promote about Trayvon…
- 1. Trayvon was a wayward kid
- 2. Trayvon was a trouble maker
- 3. Trayvon was an addict
- 4. Trayvon was out looking for trouble
- 5. Trayvon was out to kill Zimmerman
- 6. Trayvon beat Zimmerman
- 7. Trayvon had a right to be killed
Let me stop right here. Who has ever seen anybody who fell to the ground hitting their head?
When did they get up with a cut or cuts?
I have hit the ground and have seen people bang their heads and they always ended up with a knot in their head. Big bump. The harder they fell the bigger the bump on their head. But never did I see a straight cut appear in anybody’s head, from someone falling to the ground and hitting their head.
Here again is a big problem that I had with the forensic evidence in this case. These are the kinds of things that real professions are called into Court to testify about. But this case had no real forensic people. No big wig specialist… like in the Ojay Simpson case.
Those cuts on the back of George Zimmerman’s head could have clearly been blown up and recognized as having not been done by some type of fall to the ground. And lugging all the concrete sidewalks in the world into court could not prove otherwise.
This case had so many missed opportunities on the part of the DA office… you really have to wonder if they ever intended to try this case to win it?
And that answer here again would have to be a resounding ‘NO.’
Clearly, Trayvon Martin’s case biggest opposition or problem were the very people who were supposed to be seeking justice for his murder.
I really do hope that Mr. President, Barack Obama, sends in the Feds to take on this case. Because Trayvon Martin truly deserves justice. He had done nothing for which his young life should have been stolen from him. And by his cries for help… he dearly did not wish to die… or deserved to.
Bill Cosby, Charles Barkley, Shari… whatever her name on the View, President Jimmy Carter… and many others who felt that this case and its verdict was just… definitely missed something. This was no ‘new thing.’ It is something that we as black folk in America have long had to deal with. Trials like this one are not new. And we have come to recognize them when we see them… and know them when we hear their verdicts.
All of this… the trial and the circumstances which brought about the trial are all historic. Even to the having of some black folk who want to say ‘Oh, it wasn’t racist.’ When it clearly was nothing but racist. Race had everything to do with Trayvon Martin being killed… and there is just no getting around it.
I was really hoping… as we always do… that the jury would do the right thing based upon the shear merits of this case… and also having full knowledge that Zimmerman was a liar. Also, being fully aware that it was Zimmerman not Trayvon who had been the provoker. But in looking back over the court pictures… where Zimmerman does an awful lot of smiling for a man, who should believe he might be found guilty, and have to spend the rest of his life inprison. Too much smiling in fact…
So, now looking over these pictures and seeing this smiling Zimmerman, it appears to me now that Zimmerman knew how this case was going to go to end up right from the very start. That is really very unfortunate… money and power play a big factor in the outcome of a lot court outcomes. But I guess having a father with connections… goes a long way to assuring a favorable outcome.
I just finished watching a video of Geraldo Rivera talking about the Trayvon Martin case. It is funny how much people change over time. I thought Geraldo used to be a lot smarter. Based upon Geraldo’s take on this case, any one of us could have been shot dead and would have been alright. Based upon Geraldo’s assumption, if we look just like some black guys who were supposedly vandalizing that neighborhood then it is okay to kill you.
Now, how stupid is that… and ignorant?
I don’t know how long the myth that all black folks look alike has been going around in America… but it has. We know we don’t look alike… but to some people we all look like criminals …murders… crack fiends… and welfare fraud people etc…
Shame on Geraldo. He must be trying to get a new tv show or renew his contract. Some people will do and say anything… for a little money. He must need it real bad… And he sure looks old.
Guilty by looking like a criminal. Trayvon was dressed just like most teens dress, black or white… Hispanic or Asian etc… You see them all day long with hoodies everywhere… going to school… coming from school… riding skateboards… on bikes. When did wearing a hoodie mean you were a criminal?
And though I do not like the style… it is a style for the kids… shagging pants. A hoodie and shagging pants does not make anyone a criminal. Much less worthy of dying. And because somebody’s house or neighborhood is having problems does not mean you go out shooting anybody you think looks like the type who did it.
Where is the justice in that?
I pray justice and peace for the Martin family… and America.
I have to admit that on this topic Mike Tyson spoke saying something that I very much can agree upon… or with him on. When asked what he thought about this case… Mike said, “I don’t know any more than what I have seen on television. But I do know that kid should not have ended up dead.”
In happening to catch a segment of The View, they were discussing the trial and I have to say that I truly admire Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s stance on this, and her outrage is truly worthy of my mentioning. As a mother ever woman should be highly upset regarding the circumstances of this case, and the cruel, brutal and cold blooded murder of Trayvon Martin.
I did… but I have mostly done so on Facebook.
The other reason is I sprang my right foot. It has been a few weeks now. I had pain in it before… but not realizing it after I stepped into a hole and twisted my foot that I had done damage to it. Which while at a convention in Baltimore I had plenty of time in between limping around, and trying to stay off of it… I spent a lot my down time watching the case on TV. Because there wasn’t much else I could really as my foot was killing me.
My foot is still bothering me. I understand it takes about 16 weeks for a sprang foot to heal. So, I am trying to stay off of it as much as possible still.
And the other reason it took me so long to write this blog was, of course, the weather… ALL THIS HEAT.
It has been soooooooo hot and humid here. The humidity was almost unbearable. Every time I got up to do the slightest thing… sweat would be pouring down my face… my nose… my brows etc… I was showering up to 6 times per day. Because I cannot stand to be sweaty… even with an aching foot. Yeah, pain or no pain into the shower I went. But the weather has broken now. And I hope it stays this way.
I certainly hope you fared well… better than me in all this heat… and got done all you needed to do. Have a good rest of this week… and I will catch you again soon. I’ve got to go put my foot back up.

PRESIDENT OBAMA and GUN CONTROL… the View on Chris Christie and Weight…
It is a shame that it took this long for this conversation to sincerely and truthfully come to the forefront of American conscientiousness… but at last it has happened. And 1 might say several senseless massacres too many before something should have really been done… like a long time ago.
After mass killings after mass killings finally the United States government is taking a stand, and President Obama is initiating laws against assault weapons and hand guns…all of which the Republicans for the most part want no part of it.
Well, I understand when your biggest financial campaign contributor is a gun manufacturer, and you have all those gun lobbyist sitting on Capitol Hill. Yes, that might sway your judgment about gun control until it becomes a question of your own son or daughter…getting killed in some movie theater… grade school or upon some college campus etc…
I’m happy that President Obama has said enough is enough, and is taking a lead on doing something that the Congress and the Senate of the United States has refused to have taken seriously for all these years and episode after episode.
But what is so annoying and distasteful to me is how the Republicans hate President Obama…and are so very disrespectful of him. they despise him. And no matter what good President Obama tries to do… they are against him. Whereas, no matter what George Bush did… In fact, it appeared that everything George Bush did was good to them… down to lying about weapons of mass destruction… and sending off people’s sons and daughters to be killed in wars which should not have been. But they… those arrogant Republicans stood by George Bush… all the way. Pushed pass everything Bush wanted without so much as a sniffle. But oh how they cry bloody murder over everything that President Obama does or tries to do. And then they want to say that ‘they are not racist.’

Finally got a chance to read the above entire article LINK. Those republicans are a real joke. They can’t even bring themselves to call Obama ”Mister President” or ‘President Obama.’. It seems that uttering those words when referring to the President would seriously hurt them.
What kind of fool do they think President Obama is?
Trying to scare Obama by saying they will consider impeaching him for legally using Presidential authority granted unto him, as President of the United States. I don’t think anything dumber has EVER been said. What a bunch of fools.

It is far beyond the time for the Federal Government to step up into the role of ensuring the safety of the American Public by enacting laws that will lower the availability of guns to the criminally minded, and those who have some insane agendas. These incidences have become too frequent and they are escalating. I am just story that it took a bunch of very young school children to signify this point.

I just happened to catch a segment on The View regarding gun control and various methods that can be put into place at schools. It was 1 of those rare times that I must admit to being totally in agreement with Elisabeth Hasselbeck… who is almost always a voice of dissension on that show… and a devote Republican.
Whoopie, Sharri and Barbara were all for guns being given to school teachers as a good method of curving school killings. Which is something I find to be totally ludicrous.
Do not teachers go berserk and fall off the deep end too?
Of, course some do. And then the other side of that scenario is this…
What happens when a student gets a hold of 1 of his or her teacher’s guns?
Or even worst… What happens when a school shooting occurs and the police arrive and can’t determine who is the real culprit with so many people firing guns?
Because arming teachers and/or other school faculty staff is a very very bad idea… so many walking and carrying guns in school this could very well become a worst problem… and dilemma would arise at knowing who to shoot at. In the heat of a shoot out… like out on the battlefield this is not necessary 1 of the easiest things to decipher… Hence, ‘friendly fire.’
But fear and a haste to make all the wrong choices by putting into place measures that could bring about even worst consequences, than the problems we now face itself are worthy of some deep thought. And it is not Obama’s plans that I fear… but all these so-called do-gooders who may have some very flawed thinking triggered by lots of fear… or hidden agendas… all coming… running with their irrational suggestions.
I was not in favor either of arming flight attendants. And thank God we got over that fear… when flying high in the friendly skies.
It would have been a disaster if suddenly a shoot out between a passenger and airline personnel broke out in an aircraft… leaving all the passengers in grave danger not to mention the aircraft itself. And so would be arming teachers or other supposed teaching professionals with guns be too. The last time I checked that shooting at Sandy Nook school, in Connecticut where 26 people were killed… and most of theml children under the age of 10… it was the mother (the school teacher of that classroom)… who had owned those guns which were used…by her crazed son.
The article reads that the woman…the female victim was the true hero here…
But, no. It was the 14-year-old boy who opened the door and let her into him parent’s home who was the real hero…because it was at risk to himself and his 2 younger siblings.
I am, however, sure that his parent’s might have seen this picture entirely different… and particularly since the crazed man, who had kidnapped the young woman, torched their home in an effort to get the young female victim back.
The young 14-year-old in this story definitely deserves to be praised. But I know his parents must have an entirely different take on this story. But he saved that young woman’s life…while at the same time putting at risk his own, and that of his younger sister and brother. And not to mention their family home.
But it was an unselfish act. And a lot of times people can’t understand unselfish acts…because they only see the dangers in them.
But this boy will probably be blessed for the rest of his life…because he did what God calls all of us to do. To love our neighbors as we love ourselves. The text actually specks of laying down your life for your brother. Something that I know would run across no parent’s mind at the time when they hear how their home and family was put into jeopardy by the actions of 1 their older child.
And going back to The View… on that same show they were also discussing Governor Chris Christie and his weight. Truthfully speaking I felt a bit offended. They made it sound like ALL overweight people are unhealthy… which is definitely not the case. And they also made it sound like only overweight people have health problems… and we all know that is definitely not true.
But what struck me as being somewhat bias was Whoopie’s response to the whole conversation. She who for many years… if not still… has been known to be a very heavy smoker. Even while listening to Whoopie speak you can hear the effect of those years of smoking upon her voice. Yet she failed to mention that her own addiction… the 1 to cigarettes is even far more unhealthy and harmful…if not just as much so… as she talked about all of Christie’s weight wearing on his heart… and would hinder his ability to do the job of a President effectively.
According to the consensus cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of preventable death in the United States, accounting for close to 17 percent of total healthcare spending. Cardiovascular issues include: hypertension, coronary artery disease, acute myocardial infarction, per-cutaneous coronary intervention, atrial fibrillation, and heart failure.
Cigarette smoking is a major contributor to the
three most prevalent causes of death in African Americans… heart disease, cancer, and stroke. All people, regardless of race and ethnicity, can become addicted to tobacco and can be damaged by the harmful effects of smoking.
So, what I am saying is this… Governor Christie should not be singled out and declared unfit… or otherwise unhealthy simply because of his weight. It brings about an astigmatism that is many times placed upon all heavy-set people unjustly. Causing many of them to not get health benefits… jobs… and oftentimes ostracized. Which certainly is not fair and treads upon their civil rights.
It is very likely that if Christie chooses to run again as Governor of New Jersey… tries to leap out into Presidential waters his weight is going to be continuously made a factor. And that really should not be.
I recall that this guy wrote this book called ‘THE JOY OF JOGGING.’ He was an avid jogger. By every regard he was considered in good health… and his body trim and fit. One day while out jobbing the man dropped dead from a heart attack. I am not trying to poke fun here… but merely saying skinny or fat… tall or short… you are subject to drop dead or have a heart attack. And yes, I would agree that having more weight upon your body does put stress upon your heart, but so doesn’t smoking or some of those other bad habits like excessive drinking or drug abuse… etc…
So, then why keep talking about this man… Christie like it just doesn’t happen to skinny or fit people. Because that is a lie.
Now, I do not advocate being overweight. Lord, no… I have had my own issues and battles with it. But I also can see where such a conversation is hurtful, demeaning and liable to bring about discrimination to those seeking job placement… or whatever.

A PARENT’S WORST NIGHTMARE…Sandy Nook Elementary School
Wrote this on my Facebook page….
“Can’t imagine getting up early in the morning and rushing to work…and seeing my children off to school…only to hear my child’s teacher’s son came to school with a gun shooting to death his own mother…and stealing away the life and breath of my baby as well…and 17 other poor little children unfortunate enough to be that boy’s mother classroom.
And he takes his own life without enough courage to face me…
My, Lord…when will this come to an end?
Had that young merely taken his own life first…
This current situation is more than sad….
Christmas for those parents will never be the same…nor their lives…
I pray a peace that surpasses all understanding come to them all right now…in Jesus name…”
No… I think not. It cannot bring back all… or even 1 of those innocent lives which it so ruthlessly took. Twenty-six people… 16 or 18 little children… between the ages of 5 to 10… whose parents will never forget yesterday… when they woke up their child was alive. And less than 3 or 4 hours later they were not.

Creflo and His Daughter… the 911 Call…. VENUS & SERENA Taking it all at W
When I first heard this story I have to admit that I just casted it off as a plain unruly child picking up the phone and calling 911 on her father…
Why?
Because she could. And because that is what the law tells them.
You know the law?
The law that prohibits parents from chastising their children. A law which many times clearly has made parents victims due to unruly children. Because if the child doesn’t like what the parent has done …or says… all they have to do is drop a dime… or in other words… pick up the phone and call the police on their mother or father… or both of them.
The information when this story broke was that Creflo and his daughter had been in a dispute… which arose upon his daughter asking him… her father… if she could go to a party.
I have heard of many children who wanted to go against their parents … then decide that they would settle the matter simply by picking up the phone and calling the police on their parents.
So, of course… I thought this was just 1 of those stories. Where a 15-year-old spoiled child decided that she did not like that her father told her ‘no’ she could not go to the party. So, she therefore picked up the telephone of him… or popped open her cell …and called the police lying on her father… telling them that he had choked her.
That is what I believed and that is how I thought that it had happened.
So, I never felt that Pastor Creflo Dollar had really done anything wrong.
But it was not until I heard his recounting of the incident before his congregation… and after listening to his daughter’s 911 phone call… that I must say that I am not entirely sure that maybe the daughter did lie.

Now here is Creflo’s account of that situation:
Since I know neither of the 2 parties it is hard to determine what and what is true. But it was Creflo’s own words and how he just seemed to literally throw his daughter up under the bus regarding the whole incident while speaking to his church, in his accounting of what his daughter said had happened, that stuck me as… hmmm. He virtually called her a liar and continued to pounce upon her. And that is what I felt was odd.
I do not believe a loving father… or any parent angry or not get before people and begins to pounce upon their children making their child appear bad or evil.
As a parent I have at times found myself angry at my son… and didn’t like something that he said to me . But there are ways that parents handle these type of things privately. Though at times I have had to admonish my son that he needed to tread lightly a couple of times while in public… as since he has reached his 30’s he has at times needed to be reminded ‘that I am still the parent.’
While speaking Creflo took the opportunity to turn his message on its heels making himself the victim.
There is no doubt that this present system of taking the control out of the hands of parents to properly chastise their children… has made many parents almost helpless when it comes to their interactions with their own children.
It is clearly stated in the Biblical text that parents should not spare the rod. Without following the instruction of God our children will become unruly… untrained… disorderly… and lack moral standards. But with proper training… love… and guidance our children will make us glad. It is Biblical text…
I knew a young mother… she had at lease 4 children and I doubt that she was older than 24 or 25. One day in passing she informed me that she was having problems with her youngest child in school. And she told me that they wanted to medicate him… I counselled her against that.
The little boy was bad… and very busy. But I told to not let anyone give any of her children anything that would alter their mind… because it would rob her children of their lives. And she told me how her oldest boy had call 911 on her… and how afraid she now was of trying to disciple any of her children in the least.
I was shock as her oldest child, who was at the time was just about maybe 9 or 10… was a very likeable and handsome boy. He often stopped by my yard to speak with me as he passed by. I found him very pleasurable… and never would have thought that he would have imagined to do such a thing. But he had… the that incident scared his poor mother enough into not doing anything for any 1 of them, for fear of 1 of them ever picking up the phone on her again… and her children being taken away.
It is clear that the law against parents chastising their children binds the hands of good parents… people who love their children and only want to see that they do well.
No one enjoys little children who have no training at all. They are like little animals… and as they grow up to they become even worst.
I was once investigated. My son and I laugh about it today… but when it happened that thang scared me to death because all I could see was that ‘they’ were going to remove my son from our house. That would have destroyed me… I doubt that I would have stayed around to let such a thing happen to my child.
But the investigation was dropped when it was discerned that it had no merit.
My investigation stemmed from my son not doing academically well in school. So, the school suggested that I allow them to test him to see why. I was young and foolish then… don’t let the school do any type of psycho-analyzing of your children. Because they sit in rooms asking your children about everything but what they told you they were going to do. And that is what brought about my dilemma… my son had not called anyone on me… but the school began questioning him about me… whether I whipped him or not etc…etc… etc…
Needless to say I have since learned. I am not the smartest but that situation taught me something… and I learned it shortly after I gave my permission for that school to tell me why my son’s grade were not so good.
How innocent was that?
That nearly had my son removed from our home… and placed into foster care. There is something wrong with this system… and it truly works against parents… good parents.
I did not stop chastising my son… but I did tell him that if he ever told anyone that I whopped him that I would kill him. And that is what we laugh over today. He tells me that I was always threatening to kill him…
“Boy, I’m going to kill you!”
It was kindda the way folks spoke back then. Most parents said it… but none really meant it.
However, the world has changed today… different kind of parents. And that is truly sad… and what has brought about this problem.

Serena Williams took Wimbledon winning the Women’s Single… then turning right around and grabbing the Women’s Doubles title with her sister, Venus.
Venus was turned away in having lost early in the Women’s Single matches… largely due to her illness which renders her to be tired. But the illness did not stop her when it came to the Women’s Doubles finals match, where both little sis and big sis walked away with the big one together.
I am very happy for them both. I love their family. Just love seeing the love… appreciation and unity they all have… and through the situations and turmoil they still WIN!
Together Serena and Venus have won 13 Grand Slam Doubles titles together… and with Serena’s Wimbledon Single’s win a couple of weeks ago… the have between them 10 Wimbledon Single wins… with each of them having amassed 5 a piece.
Now, how good is that????

In Celebration of Black History Month… Martin, Abraham, John and Mubarak… and Barack…
There is something about freedom that when you don’t have it…it is only but so long you are willing to go without it. Or otherwise stated.. tolerate being in a state of non-freedom.
I am sure that for the past 20 years many in Egypt felt that they were doomed to being under submission to a tyrant, Hosni Mubarak, forever. And Mubarak under intense protest thought that he could wait it out… their riots in the streets and massive protests.
And then he thought to do it under his own terms… but they finally forced him out.

But once people start to see the light of day…and start to act out regarding their frustration of being under suppression there is no force which can turn that tide back around.
So, when the army came out in Mubarak’s defense…even the military could stop the desire of the people to be free.
In fact, this being Black History Month in America… one can easily equate the Civil Rights Movement to that of the move of the people in Egypt… except for this 1 fact. He had a man named Martin.
And the special thing about Martin was that he was a man of God.
The other thing about Martin was this… he understood the power of love. Or, you could call it this… non-violence.
It is hard really to really really understand this word ‘love’ in all of its great infinity.
It is deeper than we think.
But to Martin it was not.
In order to really understand the power of this word…truly… you have to experience it fully in its highest capacity.
Once while down at the registry…having to go in to renew my driver’s class. And what I really should say is this-
While being at the registry attempting to renew my driver’s license. It went like this…
I was given a number…and took a seat to wait on the calling of my number. But as I sat there they called every number but the letter beginning with the number sequence that the group of people waiting on that same sequence had like me.
So, I waited…and waited. And waited… and waited.
Finally, I stood up and had a fit in that place.
And I started shouting about where was ‘our’ numbers…and why wasn’t ‘our’ letter being called? And I was not joking.
I was fit to turn that place out. And evidently the supervisor on duty did not appreciate my outraged outburst.
This, however, I did not know. Not at that time…and not until a few days later.
But back to my story…finally our letter and numbers began to be call, and I finally got up to the window.
But there was a problem. They sent me from 1 window to another window…then to another window. Needless to say I was mad again …and ready to really tear up the place now.
By the time I got to the 4th window in this scenario I was boiling over. I mean I was mad. But the clerk was such a nice young girl I found it hard to be angry at her… though I wanted to take out my frustration on her. Everytime I tried I just couldn’t.
She was just too nice.
Finally, I broke down and said to her-
“Can’t you be mean or nasty. I just can’t be mad at you. Can you just not be so nice.”
She just smiled and kept right on apologizing about my bad experience that I was having that day at the registry.
Finally, I was sent away with no license. And I left out the DMV after having been there for nearly 4 hours…though a lot quieter but still mad. And I had gotten nothing done for my time spent.
A few days later I got a letter in the mail telling me it was okay to come back into the registry to get my license. That is when God shined a light into my life regarding that experience…and what ended up being my unexpected end.
Because my outburst had embarassed the person who supervising the clerks working the counter…she decided (supervisor) that I was not going to leave out of there with whatever I had come in there to do. And boy did they do it.
They had me walk from 1 window to another… sending me on a series of wild goose chases before turning me loose to go home… and without my license. And while making $100 poorer.
I now understood every smirk…and look that I had picked up on… but at the time they had not meant anything to me… because I was too mad to pay any attention to anything but to what I wanted to accomplish when I went into that office. It was all clear to me now… even down to the young clerk who had been so kind to me… and why she could have been so nice to a very nasty little me.
She had been made aware to the inside joke. I now remembered a woman calling the girl back to her and whispering something to her. So, no wonder the young girl could smile through my attempts to antagonize her in the heat of my anger. She had been told to plaquette me. And it had all been a joke… my going from 1 window to another… and sent here there and everywhere.
Martin did not attempt to plaguette anyone… but he clearly understood that through acts of non-voilence in the face of violent acts can be a more powerful weapon than kicking, spitting and hitting back. When you have the capability of restraining yourself from responding in an equal or like-matter to that of a prepetrator or an enemy... then you will have power over them. Because the act of violence or hate…or malice directed towards you is devised to get a negative response from you. And this Martin clearly understood… and also the power of showing a reverse response to that which is expected.
Martin didn’t just believe in the ideology of non-violence alone. He understood that love was a retractor that forced even your worst enemy to have to step back and reconsider his acts or actions towards you. It confuses them. They have to step back… scratch their heads… and wonder what’s wrong with you?
The first thing that start to consider is ‘maybe I didn’t beat him hard enough.’ Or ‘maybe I didn’t insult him enough.’ Maybe…maybe I need to threaten his family. Or tell him that I’m going to kill his wife…or maybe I need to call and whisper into his telephone and tell him-
“You better keep your eyes on your children.”
There is something about love… that deminishes fear…and rage. It can force change to come about. And so we celebrate Black History Month because of those people who got tired… and started walking and marching rather than continuing to accept mistreatment… insult… and dehumanization.
People who took the hits… the punches… and the spit in the face that I …my son… my nieces and nephews might walk in this country with the right to be as other people who come here… though not in chains and they never had to live as 2nd class citizens in this country… nor contributed half as much… as we to be recognized as bonifided citizens.
It is amazing that throughout all these years in this country all these great inventions and discoveries by black folks in American are still not regularly spoken of outside of our own circles. To think that somebody…and African American… ex-slave invented the railroad track switcher, the traffic lights, the steamship, the air conditioner, the yard rake, the water sprinkler, the cotton gin, blood plasma, potato chips, peanut butter and oh…….so so so so much much…much more.
It is not that we do not have great minds in our group…but minds that have never been recognized. Consider all that we have created and achieved with nothing to so little… Just imagine if our folks had been allowed in this country to patent their inventions or anything back in times past. Just how many millionaires and multi-millionairs…billionaires there would be within our community today. Oprah would not be out there all on her own. She might be in 3rd or 4th place behind some of these people… these great minds in Black History. And there would be plenty of money…and lots of ‘old’ money within the ranks of our own communites too. Legally obtained by both those highly educated…and those who worked in fields as well… creating items which made their labors a bit easier on them. Inventions of thing which today are highly commonplace items in all our homes… or in all of the world’s everday life.
Also, nobody can tell me that whatever that man’s name is… James Naismith really was the ‘real’ originator of basketball. A man from Massachusetts? Who started playing a game of ball that included peach baskets?
I think not.
It sounds more like that on a visit down South… he saw some black boys down in Georgia…the home of peaches… with an old ball and tossing it into a peach basket after getting in from a long day of working out in those Georgia peach fields. He saw them …and then Naismith went back home and began to teach it to some young college students, calling himself the creator of it. I think not.

Oh, yes…before I end.
I think that it is interesting that during this season of much international unrest… I think that it is interesting that many who questioned President Barack Obama’s community oragnizing credentials… evidently never sat in on any community meetings.
They don’t know anything about the fights or the outburst of angry and outrage that can erupt during community meetings. If they had had any understanding… they would have realized that a man… or any woman with Obama’s community organizing credentials would be just the right thing for this season in terms of international turmoil. You need somebody who can get in trenches and knows how to hold his own…to deal with these kind of elements of emotional revolts and religious extremism.

Since the Egyptians have finally over a series of a few days managed to chase out their oppressor from office over them…it has given strenght now to other 3rd World Countries looking at that picture to believe that they also have the strenght to seize their freedom too.
It is kind of like the elephant… who as a little baby elephant is tied into place with a little stick. But being that elephants have long memories… the baby elephant when it grows up does not know it now has the strenght to break free from anything that might try to hold it or contain it. But if that elephant were ever to see another elephant break free… it might also come to realize that strenght that is in his hands as well.
So, we see the children who have grown up…and now determine for themselves not live as their parents had… passively. From the Middle East to North Africa their is unrest… Libya, Tunisia, Bahrain and, Yemen. And make no mistake…at ever turn America’s interest is vastly at stake. And I have no doubt that Obama has his eyes keenly on these places, the voices of the people…and those that are soon to pop up on the scene too… hot spots… all over.
I for 1 am happy that we now have somebody in the White House who is not operating with split interests. But someone who cares about us… the American people… and not future riches for him and his clonies…like the George W. Bush clan.

What is the question here…
When somebody espouses a whole lot of trash talking in the ghetto…
Well, they just better be able to back it up or say nothing.
That is how it is in the hood.
Now, I have never lived in the streets or out on the lane …or down on the Blvd. But I do know that when you fool around and talk a lot of junk you better be ready to back it up… or suffer the consequences.
During the pre-term elections recently held this past November… Sara Palin did a whole lot of big talking… before and after. Even as far as pasting up a bunch of cross-hairs upon certain campaign areas that she and her supposed ‘tea party’ crew… or group of flunkies… were aiming to take over.
This past weekend in 1 of those areas … a congresswoman was shot in the head and 6 others were killed in an area that Palin singled out on her cross-hairs map.
That sounds like a whole of lot of big time talk. The which if it had been done in the hood it would have meant all out and out war. Because it would have certainly meant that you were out to get somebody.
And it would have meant that you were gunning for them. And in hood talk… that means to kill ’em.
You don’t go around drawing pictures like that in the hood… and nobody knows what it means?
No, that is a loud and crystal clear message… ask any black folks.
Frankly, such a thing should be as illegal as shouting “FIRE” in crowded place.
I do not think that it is a coincidence that Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, a Arizona State Representative, and liberal political was shot in the head some 2 days ago.
Nor do I believe that the shooting was some ramdom act of some dissatisfied Arizonan voter.
No, I think that the picture is a lot bigger than that.
It is a picture of hate mongering and fear embedding that became very popular under the Bush administration. Something that the Republicans have become very famous …or should I say… infamous for doing. Then turning around and crying that they ‘had nothing to do with it.’
But the tactics are theirs. And they pull them out whenever a political race is hot… meaning close… and when they wish to get an upper hand.
So, they set about evoking weak-minded people to do tragic things like shooting an innocent woman in the head, who was working hard to the benefit of the people which she represents.
And, yes.
Sarah Palin is to blame along with those who coach her. And they need to go up on charges of conspiracy. For acting to incite individuals to go out and commit murder or other type of criminal acts against politicians that they are against.
If a person worked in an insane asylum and gathered up the interest of a resident in that asylum provoking that person to hate someone enough to hurt or even kill them. And the insane asylum person upon his release goes in search of the person they had been provoked against… and somehow hurts or otherwise kills the person… who would be to blame?
Clearly, the person who provoked the insane person to do so.
And the law would seek that person out.
So, why should Sara Palin and her people be any different?
This world is full of a lot of sick and/or weak-minded individuals who listen and believe a lot of the political rhetoric that they hear… watch or read. A lot of it is devicely twisted to anger people falsely. And in cases such as in the Palin camp… they work to implant seeds of violent acts.
And anyone who does this is looking for a violent outcome.
Why else would anyone put up gun cross-hairs if they were not insinuating that someone should go out and shot somebody that they have set their sights upon?
That is the only reason why someone would do that.
And to do so is illegal.
And is certainly not a joke.
Lets say the shoe was on the other foot… and the congresswoman and launch a website and put up a map with gun cross-hairs on it. And in the center of those cross-hairs was Palin and her family.
What do you think would have been Palin’s out-cry?
Would there have been one?
Yes. You bet… and a loud one. And Palin would have been seeking some type of action. Maybe even legal I have no doubt.
The Republicans love double standards. They can play certain games… but not you.
You can’t… because they are quick to cry ‘foul.’

If a group of cons or crooks…. or drug cartel…. or thugs had mastermind such a thing without a doubt they would have all been rounded up by now and charged.
Is this not the same thing when a drug dealer puts a gun into the hand of little child 12 or 13 -year-old, and tells them to go out and shoot somebody?
They know that the little 12 or 13-year-old is a kid, and not likely to serve a sentence as long as theirs would be, if they went out and perpetrated the crime themselves.
What is the difference between using weak-minded people that do what some of these politicians tell them to do via their commercials and other rhetoric used to poison the minds of such people, in order to have them go out and do their dirty work?
I am for justice and totally against people who would ever try to incinerate anyone against somebody simply because we do not agree politically… or religiously. Or for any reason really.
In the 1980’s when the anti-abortion acted in similar ways… the outcome was abortion clinics being bombed, and abortion doctors were killed.
How crazy was that?
You don’t believe in abortion but you blow up people in an abortion clinic?
Or go out shooting abortion doctors?
What kind of life did they believe in?
Only that of the fetus… and not that of the adult people they were killing?
Is life not life?
Are we all to agree on every subject?
Just how boring would life be if we all submitted ourselves out of fear to being liked minded because someone was holding a gun over us.
There is a sickness that prevails and is festering, least ways in this country, that makes 1 re-consider George Orwell’s book. And perhaps we need not look at Big Brother as a government system… but as a political party. The Republican Party.
Well, this is my first post for the New Year.
I was so busy prior to stepping into this New Year that I literally barely got any sleep for almost 8 days. A whole lot of legal work to take care of.
First of all, the city had come up against my parent’s house for property taxes. And I had to act really quickly in order to try to head it off.
So, that is still in the works. Hopefully, we will get a court date and God will give the Judge to be kind.
Then there some other legal matters that I wanted to have out of hair before stepping into 2011… and finally I did manage to do that too.
So, you see I wasn’t just goofing off.
And I had to go out to shovel snow 2 times this past weekend. But thank goodness it was neither heavy or a lot of snow.
So, all is well.
And I am wishing you a great and highly prosperous year.
And thank goodness God is still on throne.

Family…Obama and Health Care Reform Bill passing…out of work out of mind…
Well, I know it has been a while since I last blogged anything…but if you knew what I have been doing…then I don’t think you would have minded.
First of all…most recently we have discovered some long lost relatives. And I do mean…loooooong and lost.
They live in Alaska…believe it or not. And I did say Alaska…where they have been for the past 40 years.
Who knew?
Well, we sure didn’t. But God has a way of uniting families…and friends again. He really does…and always in His own time.
At any rate…I have found some new cousins. Or rather they have found us. And it is so wonderful.
One in particular…a cousin by the name of Jean…has been taking up all of my time. Somehow or other…she came to believe that I do nothing all day but sit around waiting on her to call me. And she talks for hours. So much so that she even has told me-
“Oh, why don’t you just take the phone with you into the bathroom.”
This mind you…so we can continue to talk while I shower. She is so funny. She keeps me laughing.
She is indeed a character. But I guess it gets like that when you find something that you never thought you had. What a feeling it is.
In watching bits and pieces of news in between my various stops…as you may recall…I no longer watch television. So, I catch the news from time to time while stepping into this place or dashing into this one…that is if I don’t read it first over the internet.
But while watching Obama out stomping for Health Care Reform…I could not help but notice how much more he seemed to be in command…sure of himself…by far more Presidential than I had ever seen him (outside of the debates he had had with John McCain while running for office). He seems to be more comfortable with the position…and the carrying of that title…’Mr. President’… than ever before.
It made me think while observing on a news flash…of the Biblical text where it states-
“What the devil means for evil, God will turn it around for your good.”
Truly, one could say that this has been the case for President Obama.
What the Republicans meant for evil…God has turned it around for his…and I guess you could say for ‘our’ good as well. Where they tried to hinder him and block him…it only forced Obama to step up his game…push harder…fight tougher…become more determined. And in the process he has come off looking sharper and keener…and certainly by far more Presidential than I have seen him.
Though the battle to get the bill through the Senate has clearly shown that Obama is not somebody who backs down. He has proven that he is tougher than they think. And the good part is…they can’t pull anything out of Obama’s closet in order to try to keep him quiet…or keep him in check.
Pulling skeletons out of the closet is a popular deviced used by Republicans. It was what they used against President Clinton from the very moment he stepped into the White House…and if the truth be told…before he even got there.
It was also a ploy that the Republicans used against Ted Kennedy to keep him out of the White House…and oftentimes as a means to try to keep him silence him and keep him quiet, and in his place. But Teddy was a fighter. Call him what they would…but he never backed down…or let it stand in his way when it came to standing up for what was right.
Which is why for the life of me…I cannot see why Democrats in Massachusetts did not turn out in full force to ensure that Ted Kennedy’s seat stayed Democratic?
Say what they will about the woman who was running for that seat. It still should not have mattered whether she got out and worked for it or not. Because at the end of the day…she didn’t really matter. But what really mattered was…that we continue to give Barack Obama all the support, aid…and help that he needs to get his job done…and done properly. And that cannot be done with a whole lot of complacency because people feel that Obama has not done anything since being in the White House. It has only been a few months.
By this time in his term…George Bush had alread squandered away the surplus that Bill Clinton had left on the books…when he departed from the White House following the end of his term as President. And then he kept on spending more and more money…even though he had already gone through the reserve.
Which is why George Bush and his buddies were so hot to go after the Social Security money. They wanted to wreck that too…and leave all of us in a hole. Not to say that they didn’t leave us in a big fat pit anyways. Because they did.
It is like folk expect Obama to be some kind of a magican.
Who said change comes ‘over night?’
If it took all of 8 years to get us into this mess under George W. Bush. So, why should anybody believe it should take a few months or a year…or a couple of years to get us out of it?
It may well take all of Obama’s years and then some before we finally see any turn in the Bush mess. Because believe it or not…George W. Bush really did ‘a job’ on this country…on our country’s policies…and anything and everything else he could corrode…taint…or destroy.
Half of what Bush did to undermind this country is still yet to come to the forefront. After years of chaos and havoc…and ton loads of failed policies…a wars…and antagonzing our friends…and allies…not to mention ‘the money.’ And then not to mention all the power brokering that set into motion a failed economy…that not only rocketed us but also the world into near bankruptcy…plus skyrocketing unemployment numbers…massive massive massive job losses due to lots of failing corporations…many which had been staples in our economy. Companies that churned out the very first automobilies…drafted the blue prints for them…and built them from nothing. Now gone… Or bought out by foreign entities.
What has happened to us?
Perhaps…
And yes…Bush…and Bush senior…and everybody in between had a hand in it…when they started selling off America to the highest bidders…sending jobs overseas…seeking cheaper labor…and failed to look at the greater and bigger picture.
They lacked vision.
All they saw was a global market…a bigger world to take from. And how to weaken and get richer by.
But what happened to the vision?
Shouldn’t our leaders have some vision of where they want this country to go?
Where they are taking us?
What it should look like and be like in the next 10 or 20 years?
The Bible says-
“My people perish for lack of vision.”
Where are the visionaries?
Don’t we have any…any more?
When the Founding Fathers laid the foundation for the government of this country they were looking in the future. They had an understanding of what the President should be like…his values…his morals…and his judgement. If they could step into this present time…I wonder what they would say. Perhaps there would be some tears…because it seems that the very things they tried prevent from happening over time came about. And they saw it…they realized the problems that certain selfish endeavors and alliances could bring about.
Even in my own town I see a lack of vision. It started years ago and has continued from administration to administration.
When I look at downtown Brooklyn and what Brooklyn has come to look like in the past few years…it all looks great. But…
When I look at 125th Street in Harlem…it looks okay. But…
What happened to the people who used to live there…the stores that used to be there…the business people who were forced out of their businesses because of higher rental rates…and eminent domain… etc…etc…?
When I look around and see all the vacant warehouses that used to house massive factory complexes and tons of workers…all that is gone now. And those places if they have not been torn down have all be turned into condos and/or artist work spaces.
Today you see everybody trying to get into health care. Of course a few years ago when AIDS first came upon the horizon…everybody began moving away from careers in the health field…but no more. In fact, you see more men than ever before opting to become nurses. It is all rather strange.
When I was back in college…practically everybody… Well, most of the women were studying to become school teachers. Our campus did not have a nursing department…but today nearly most campus’ do. And there are tons of people vying to try to get into a good nursing program…which from what I hear they tend to be highly selective and very competive.
When I was in college you could always get a job as a bank teller, or a receptionist, or office clerk…telephone operator, switchboard operator, telemarketing person…etc., but all of those jobs for the most part are gone…meaning most of them no longer exist. Between banking machines, automated voices…and of course, the influx of computers millions of people and jobs have been shoved out…and onto the sidelines. Or should I say…into unemployment lines.
Today, I heard that the National Unemployment rate is 9.7% for Americans who are out of a job…and for African Americans the rate is vastly higher being…being 15.8%. Bush-nomics hard at work…
Wow.
To hear people talking about being out of work or 2 or more years…is really heartbreaking. It is hard to survive without a job…not knowing where your next dime is going to come from…going from month to month in uncertainity about your food…shelter…who is going to pay your bills…or what bill you can afford to pay this month. I do know the feeling…and can relate to anyone going through it.
There was a time you could be a home health attendant just by merely filling out an application. Now people need classes and have to take tests. And it seems that today even that kind of job is hard to find…when before they were always looking for people to fill those slots.
Times truly have changed…but one thing has not. People will continue to need and will have a need for good health care whether they have a job or not…and irregardless if they may be health today. With escalating prices…a system nearly now dominated by ‘for-profit’ entities on all sides of the coin…people (the general public) need to be protected from them…and serviced properly by them…and with dignity. And that is what I hope that this bill just signed and brought about by President Obama will do.
Can you imagine that various Democratics have been targetted since having passed the bill?

I guess all that lying about Obama’s Health Care Reform Plan…fell upon deaf hears in the end…nor the calling the President a liar. With a vote of 220 to 207…the Democrats won…which finally allowed the bill to pass in the U. S. Senate.

I understand that the real reason Palin bailed out of her office was because the people in Alaska were calling for her to be impeached. That sounds like a good reason to go running for the hills, and to leave her office in midst of her term.
Wouldn’t look so great now would it?
I mean not with all the bad press that that would have gotten her. The woman is truly a disaster.
On another note…while reading something other things over the internet I came across an article regarding Israel’s new attitude towards the United States.
“We don’t need America.”
Such a statement seems ludacris to me…after all these years of taking America’s money and being given our weapons…and actively seeking the support of America to defend and maintain them in the Middle East. Yes…that statement seems a bit odd to me.
I would hope that it does not stem from the fact that America now has a black…or African American President.
Least ways…I would hope not. But one must wonder. There could be no other reason. As though American suddenly has lost some level of power or authority in the world since Barack Obama went into office.
If anything we have regained a new level of respect…and respectability. And I have no doubt a greater level of security and a feeling of sincerity among our Allies fowlling the Bush era.

Oh, yeah… I am sure that you have probably realized that the weather has finally broken. We are coming into Spring…and it feels good. So, let us take one last look at my winter scenes as we now look towards the warmer weather. It is definitely on its way.
I just love these pictures though. But the ones to come will be so much more welcoming.

And oh, yes…one other thing. In having found our long lost relatives in Alaska…where it really is dark for 6 months and light for 6 months…(I had to ask if it was true). Not only that but my cousin, Jean…told me that on any given day…they are subject to running into a moose. Which they have to pay attention to whether or not his…or her…ears are down and their hair is standing up…which means ‘look out.’ Because it could charge at you at any moment.
It all sounds a bit like living out in the wilderness to me. Because…well… Because of the bears. Yes…I said bears. And there are 3 types…one you can fight off…the black bear.
Then there is the brown bear…and of course…the polar bear. Both of which are no joke… and will eat you.
Yes…it sounds a bit too wilderness-ery to me. And they live in downtown Anchorage. And this picture…of course…is Anchorage in the summer…where they do have 24 hours of light all summer long. Unbelievable.
And in discovering our lost relatives…we also have found out what Native American Indian tribe my family belongs to. It is the Seminole Indians. Which I will have you know is the only indian tribe in America that never signed a peace treaty. I just had to go up on their site to find out about them. I would love to meet our family on that side as well.
I wonder if it is possible?

New Year’s Eve 2009…
I just finshed singing ‘Happy Birthday to you’ to my son. Who as I guess you can tell…that he is a New Year’s Eve baby… Well, not quite a baby any more.
I am looking forward to 2010…not that 2009 wasn’t great, but I just feel like so much more so this coming year.
It is hard to believe that we are 10 years into 2000. Remember all the predictions of doom that were flying about going into 2000? I forgot what they called it now… (K2-Y or something like that)…since nobody ever mentions it any more. But the whole computer system was supposed to crash and much of everything else. Everything was predicted to going be thrown out of whack too. None of which never happened…not one thing. But many people believed those predictions of gloom and doom up until we stepped into 2000 and crossed over into it without a glitch.
I guess it was the fear of the unexpected. We had all after all lived our entire lives in nothing but 1900’s only. So, to be around and step into a new century was quite a big thing. But we made it. And during these past few years at the start of this new time in history, we have witnessed many changes…suffered some losses…and gained some things, I guess too.
For 1, we got our first non-white President in this country that we all love so near dear…and I mean that sincerely. Though we complain…there is still no country like America. And perhaps will never be.
We are not faultness. True we have had our faults. Our share of mistakes…mis-steps…poor judgments…and made some stupid decisions…as well as, many other countries. But then no one is perfect. And with each passing day we all hopefully endeavor, however, to become so. At least it is our hope.
There is still much up-roar around the world…and uncertainty. Much evil and madness… wars… and disputes between various government states… cultures… and religious groups. People suffering from displacement being run off their homelands…drug lords terrorizing and mudering innocent people…religious fanatics targeting anyone or anything unlike them…and then…just some plain lunatics. And they are everywhere.
The days when nations sent out their best and strongest gadiators to do battle for the sank of settling disputes between arguing or warring villages or states…is long gone. The UN had been set up so that men might talk out their disputes and differences…but that too has pretty much fallen by the wayside too. Everybody wants to be a super State…or become a rogue nation.
For some reason man seems through time and development…industralization…and the creation of more superior and deadly weapons, has become more and more violent, and eager to engage in everything but peaceful negoiation.
With 90 more years to go before we enter 3ooo…will we survive?
Will there be anyone left to tell the story…and to welcome in another New Year?
Then there is Mother Nature…global warming…eco-condamination and our overall lack to sincerely considering our place on this planet, as though we can really jet off to another planet…and leave Mother Earth behind once we have finished her completely off.
I don’t know…I didn’t really intend to say any of this. But I guess that even though I don’t really talk about it much…and certainly wasn’t aware that I thought about it to this degree either. Funny…I never realized these things colored my thinking sub-consciously. But then I am a mother…and an aunt of some great and many nieces and nephews, who will still be here long after I’m dead and gone. So, I guess I have to consider what this world be like for them…if not for my own sake alone.
Will there still be clean water…or enough of it for them in years to come?
Or would somebody have dropped a dirty bomb…and nothing will be here by 3000?
I don’t know…but I am looking forward to a great and very busy 2010. And as I go into the New Year I will make certain to pray for our President and his family…and all those people on Capital Hill who make decisions that effect the course of this country and shapes our policies and dealings with foreign governments…and other entities. That they will do so with a calm head…and with a mind that their votes and actions matter beyond party lines. That they have vision…and look into the future to ensure that they do nothing to destroy this place…or the people who live upon it.
I plan on being very busy this year. I have a couple business ventures that I plan on opening up this year. My book, The Bishop’s Wife, of course will finally be out…and I will be going out on a book tour. I also intend to shoot my film…‘LIFE 101 da real skool’…this year. So, I guess you can say that plan on being in labor (as with child) most of this coming year…as I plan on birthing a few things in 20-10.
I hope that you will be busy this coming year too…and that you will reap much success in all your endeavors. And whatever needs you may have… I pray God steps in and works them out for you. Enjoy your New Year’s… and the very best this forthcoming year.
We are definitely in the midst of winter now…and there is no doubt about it. It is freezing cold. But God is yet good. I hope that you keep warm and always remember those who may not have all the comforts that you do.
There are so very many things to be thankful for…so much that we take for granted.
It is good just to be able to get up in the morning…and do for for yourself. To be able to walk outside…buy what you want…do what you want. To drink a glass of water when you want to. To have food in your refrigerator…and in your cupboards. To able to turn your heat up or down…to have hot water…a bed to lay in…and a place where you are safe. So many people lack these simple things. We are bless…truly.

Charla Nash… Fort Hood…AIDS and women
I just finished watching partial footage of Oprah’s interview with Charla Nash, the woman who’s face was ripped apart by a neighbhor’s raging chimpanzee. I recall a friend telling me about the story some time ago. She kind of joked about it…talking about how the neighbor and her lover, the chimp…were having a lover’s spat.
At first I thought it humorous at the time…based upon my friend’s jokes about it. But my goodness…it was anything but a joke. Far from it. But anything where a person is injured can never be a joke at any time. Unfortunately, I wasn’t thinking like this when my friend initially told me the story. And I am so ashamed to have laughed.
I never knew that such a thing could or would have happened to anyone. I prayed for that woman upon seeing that clip. And I am not going to show any pictures in this blog…or put any videos in it…in respect to that woman.
I feel for that woman very much…as someone who ran to someone’s rescue…to try and help them…and ended up being severely injured. Injured beyond all recognition. As half of her face was torn off…and it seemed that her fingers and hands had been destroyed as well.
Her face wasn’t even a face. Her eyes…it was like her whole mouth…teeth were gone too. But I guess it was the best that anyone could do for her considering the intensitiy of her injuries.
It was a horror…but even more so something which really made me feel sad for the woman. And I began to pray for her.
The fact that the woman went on Oprah’s show and discussed the attack was a sign that the woman has come to grip with her life as it is now. Which speaks volumes for her.
But she didn’t sound angry…or furious with God over what had happened to her. As so many people often do when tragedy strikes.
What a woman. Much can be said for inner strenght…and being able to connect to it…in order to see your way through any circumstance.
I don’t know if I have that. But I pray that if ever the need were to arise that I would have the strenght of character to connect to it too.

One day after Veteran’s Day…I spent some time trying to digest what happened on the grounds of Fort Hood where 13 were killed and several others were shot and injured.
I wondered if this was the act of one of those buried or implanted individuals that we had heard so much about following 9/11?
You know…those who were trained aboard then shipped here for some appointed time to cause havoc while killing Americans in the wake of it.
There is so much killing these days…domestically that who is going to tolerate non-American forces or luntics of any kind coming here to add to the carnage?
If indeed there are implants…persons angry with America and Western culture…sitting around and waiting on a time to attack. Well, Americans are not going to sit back and just take that.
So, if indeed that doctor at Fort Hood was part of some kind clan…he will be dealt with very harshly. And as well he should be.
Is it not enough that they went aboard and risked their lives in foreign lands…then to come home and be shot down?
From 19 to 62…so young and so dedicated to the US Military. They did not give their lives…but their lives were taken…stolen.

Since the medication for AIDS has gotten so much better…and people are living longer…we pay little to no attention to AIDS any more. It is not the hot topic it once was.
Because Magic looks so good…so healthy…for many the fear of AIDS has all but been washed away. Many feel that it isn’t as great of a threat as it once was…and its affects are not taken as seriously any more.
But unlike Magic…Natalie Cole doesn’t look so healthy. In fact, she looks sick…aging and weak.
This past week I came across this article about AIDS and that it is a leading cause for deaths in women. You might want to read this for yourself.

Gang rape… assualt …murder… and fear
I rarely read the newspaper…and have stopped watching television. So, the means that I accquire the news these days is usually when I go up over the net and see a news flash. Most of the time I pay little attention to them…but then there are those which draw me in. And I find myself having to read the story…and not out of real interest…but because I find the headline hard to believe.
Today, I came across one of those attention grabbing headlines. The headline read something like this…‘Gang Rape and nobody helped.’
How could such a thing happen?
What has happened to mankind?
The incident took place during a high school homecoming dance outside in some alleyway or something on the school grounds…for 2 hours long this raping continued. And kids stood around watching, while others jumped in to participate while a 15 year girl was repeatedly raped by up to as many…if not more than 15 to 20 people who in some way participated in this incident or stood by watching.
What would possess somebody to stand around and want to cheer on or watch such a thing?
Why didn’t someone call for help?
Or run and go tell somebody?
What is going on in the minds of our young people that they could get caught up in such a thing…and then become party to it by standing around and doing nothing…or worst…jump in and become more than a watcher?
Everyone of those kids should be pulled into court…and facing some type of charges.
Many were busy lighting up their cell phones taking pictures of the crime…and even videotaping it…a type of criminal voyeurism. But no one called for help…or tried to stop what was going on.
I cannot imagine such a thing. There is not anything that I can see going on…that I would not try to stop…or somehow help in some way. I have seen men fighting their girlfriends…and gotten involved. I have stopped fights between kids. I have gotten between mama-bady-daddy drama. And did it because I just can’t turn a blind eye to anything that I feel is wrong…or harmful…or potentially dangerous to someone.
I don’t have a fear of getting involved. But I know that many people do not think like this. And I know that many people may feel that I am putting my ownself in jeopardy. And if I stopped to considered that…I might act like everybody else.
But I am glad that I do not. I’ve got nieces and nephews…and a son that I have to think about. I just don’t want anything to happen to them. So, let me try to clean up the problems now. Later might be too late…for them and me.
But how could I not help somebody?
Or try to?
But I have never ran towards anything in order to be an observer…not even as a child.
That is something which I cannot understand. Why would I run towards gun fire to see what is going on…or just to see who got shot…and laugh excitely about it?
Now, that is stupid to me.
Or, why would I rush to see people fighting?
That’s dumb.
If anything…I go to see if I can help…and whenever I am near a fight I go to break it up. Not to laugh and cheer anything on.
But this is the mentality of people…and it is definitely the mentality of of the kids. Everything is a joke…or funny. But somebody being raped…or killed is not a joke. And certainly not funny…nor is it entertainment.
This kind of thinking is dangerous for all mankind. If the new group of adults coming into this world are a bunch of desensitized robots…uncaring…unfeeling…unthinking…uncompassionate ids….where will this world be?
How safe will any of us be…as the world falls into their hands?
I once had a lover who had been gang raped and sodomized…and who knows whatever else. But I cannot tell you the impact it left upon her…and her life. Every time she went to the bathroom she re-lived that situation. That thing lived with her…it was in her insides and something she could not shake. Though she was successful…as an actress…and part-time music teacher…that incident marked her private life. That gang rape greatly colored her life in the in-between time.
She was not big in size…small stature. So, I can imagine just how helpless she must have felt…not to mention the terror of it. She never really talked about it except to say that it had happened. And I did not push it.
So, how could someone…20 or more people witness something like that and not do anything?
How could we…any of us be safe if everyone walking around us only cares about themselves…and have no compassion for anyone else?
There is a great need for serious consideration to be given for where will mankind be and the type of world and societies will dominate this planet in the next 20 to 30…or 50 years from now. Everyting is a joke. Blood…rape…murder…crimes of every conceivable kind and inconceiveable kind are happening today…and very high rates…escalated rates. And nobody is paying attention to it.
And not only a need for serious consideration…but something has to be done now regarding the attitude of our youth to crime and criminal acts. And high officials should be concerned now about what affects desensitizing our teens to blood and criminal acts via computer games, movies, music videos etc. will have upon the increase of future criminal acts and the types of crimes prepetrated…and to what degree these crimes are acted out.
Some feel that the lack of anyone getting involved had to do with fear. But if their fear is that great…then they should fear how much worst it is going to be if people continue to allow criminal acts to take place without something being done now.
FEAR?
They don’t have any fear yet…let the criminals continue acting out as they are acting out.
Fear only empowers those perpetrating the crimes. Fear is the biggest thing that they have going for them. That is why the Bible says….‘Fear not.’
The last thing you want to do…even with an animal…is appear to be afraid. Or in other words…fearful.
What happens when fear is taken out of the equation?
Then you have power…because the power ceases to be in the hands of him or them that are trying to terrorize you. It is one of the first lessons you learned really early in life. Usually while you were in grade school when it came to bullys…who were only as big and as bad as you let them be. But did you ever finally stand up to one…and saw how quickly the tables turned around between you and them?
While living in Chicago…I was at wits end. I was being stalked…something I would suggest that no one try to do today. Because I am no longer that person…believe me.
But I became a nervous wreck under that situation. My fear absorbed me…totally. I was well on my way to having a nervous breakdown behind it…had it not been for the Lord. I could not walk down the street without stopping everytime I heard someone walking behind me. Being in a large city like Chicago…this happened quite often as someone was always behind me…just not normally the person who was terrorizing me. In the evening when I went home…I would throw open the door to my apartment before entering and step in like police detectives…leaving the door wide open behind me. I would go from room to room peering in trying to make sure no one was in my apartment…which definitely left me open for the person to enter into my apartment behind me. But when fear has you…it has you…and you do not think clearly. And when you are not thinking clearly…you leave yourself open to a whole lot of the things… anything can happen to you.
I was tormented by fear. So much so…that by the time I finally got through it I vowed never again. I lived in darkness…afraid to turn on my lights in apartment at night…afraid to answer the phone (this was at a time before Caller-ID). I will never go back to being in that state again. Under any circumstances…or by anyone.
But at the end…the tables turned. It took a dramatic turn…and had not God intervened I might probably be in prison now…and there for the rest of my life. Because I would have killed the person. I snapped…and in my snapping the tables turned…and my perpetrated went fleeing from me. When I think of it now…it is so Biblical….‘and I will make you enemies flee 7 ways before thee.’ And that is when it ended…when I finally stood up to the person…the phone calls…the following …the threats….everything…and I vowed ‘never…ever again’
And I have never feared anything…or anyone ever again.
And this is how I know how big a weapon fear is.
And those who use it…count upon it being so. They dominate neighborhoods…housing complexes…streets…cities…etc…using fear.
So, the more that people cease to do anything…if indeed they are fearful…because I believe that most of them just don’t care…as long as it doesn’t involve them or their family. But those who are fearful of doing something to stop or aid somehow a victim of a criminal act…the more you empower those who perpetrate the crimes. Thereby, in the end causing yourself a greater harm…because you did nothing. And those that you fear become stronger and more more aggressive if they are allowed to continue. It is an unending situation…better to deal with it sooner rather than later.
If nobody cares about your neighborhood…then you should. Because you do live there too. And you should never allow anybody to chase you up or down a street…or make you run…or have you afraid to leave your home.
What happens when you become the victim?
And you will…one way or another…if you allow crime to fester unrestrained…or actively sought to be kept down.
I was pretty sick reading about that man who had imprisoned his own daughter in a very small basement space for over 20 years of her life…breeding kids with her. And all of this while living just above his daughter in the house with his wife…her mother. That story made me sick for such a long time…so much so I could not talk about it…much less write about it. But it is an example of the type of stories that we are reading and hearing about today. But if this is what is going on today…hideous crimes…stomach turning crimes. How much worst will these stories become in the future…if this trend continues?
Criminal activity is on an increase everywhere…and much of it we never even hear about until somebody leaks something. And many others because the value of the poor people who have fallen into the hands of some very sick people…well, their lives were just not worth looking into.
So, no investigation were ever initiated.
Take for instance this story….
It is very unfortunate when police officials pick and chose who is or is not worth looking for. So many people go missing without the police going out to look for them while they might have been found yet alive. But if they…any of these poor women in this story been some rich socialites, or high city officials or lawyers…or anybody with any degree of money or some type of clout…no amount of expense or time would have been spared on their behalf.
There is an imbalance in the world…and it stretches all the way around the world.

I know I have told this story in an earlier blog here… www.bsmith101.wordpress.com. It is when one night…late night…actually early morning…when my cousin, Vincent, was on his home from having been out clubing. As he neared his apartment…in the dark of night he heard a woman scream out for help. He went running in the direction on the cries and came upon the woman and her perpetrator. He grab the man and flung him to the ground…and then held him down until the police came.
My cousin was a very tall and handsome gay male. I have no doubt that most of his life he had to deal with people snickering about him as he was very effeminate. But he never hesitated to step aside for a woman…or get get up to offer his seat to a woman or elderly person… or help you remove your coat…or pull out your chair and hold it for you as you sat down. He was more a man than most ‘so-called’ real men. And not only was he a very nice…but also a very decent person…and caring in every way. He really was someone who would give you the shirt off his back. And if it cost him…he gave to you regardless if he had suffer.
You could not have met a better person than him.
He would have never ran towards a fight to stand and watch it…but to pull the people apart. Nor would he have stood around and watched a young girl or anyone being raped. I wish I had a picture of him…to put in this blog. He was a hero. And we need more like him.
Reggie Jackson of the New York Yankees was the same way. His name had found its way into news headlines for more than baseball…more than once because of some acts of heroism on his part…when he went to the aid of someone.
More people need to do it…and things would change. Just think of 9/11…what not would have happened if the people on those first 2 airplanes had been more like the people on that 3rd airplane?
In looking up information of the gang rape…I happened to come by this story. Though I had seen this picture of this woman many times…I never knew her story. But it is sick. In fact, it is more like beastiality.
She is a socialite…who married a man…wealthy man. He had built a jungle on his property and had a great love for his cats…the type known as ‘lions.’ So, as she started to age and as a means of re-capturing his attention she decided to disfigure herself like this purposely. She is called the ‘lion woman.’ Because she went under the knife to have her face disfigured into that of a lion.
It is beastiality…in its highest form.
I think she likes it even more now…with all the attention that having it done has given her. Talk about… what women won’t do. Nobody is worth destroying yourself for.
What a sick mind…and it truly shows what having too much money and nothing concrete to do with it…can bring about.
Finally, in closing… I got an comment today on my Chastity Bono blog…which has been getting a tremedous amount of hits lately. This particular person was very disenchanted with my statements regarding Chastity and her sex change. But he used a very interesting word while stating his point.
That word was… ‘transitioning.’
Interesting…indeed.
Transitioning…
Evidently, this person felt that Chastity’s…or Chaz as she is calling herself these days…decision to undergo that surgery to remove somethings and to add some other things… Well, that it is just a simple little transition in life. To a degree we all have to go through some transitioning in our lives, I guess… overcoming some disappointments…some losses…some set-backs…aging….etc. But the altering of ones sex is a bit more deeper than a simple little transitioning phase. And I think most would agree with me about that.
I was reading something on a quakco doctor…one that performs a lot of these type of operations…sex changes…who is now a supposed woman himself. After having undergone the operation himself many years ago…it seems that all of his partners have been women who ‘underwent the operation.’ He became a woman…and they became supposed men. Which means…they kind of ended up in the same kind of situation that they would have been in…in the first place had they merely remained what they already had.
Sick…
I wouldn’t let anybody who is not clear headed put a knife to me. Most of these surgeons are quakes and definitely…these so-called plastic surgeons.
We are living in a sick world…truly. And we should all be concerned about where this world is going…meaning….in which direction it is headed in. Things are being turned upside down.
And I am not really trying to pass judgement on anyone. Because we all do crazy things…and years later wake up having lots of regrets. I still regret some things…many things in fact. And in the process I have grown. But thank goodness I did nothing that committed me for my whole entire life to a big mistake. I was fortunate…no bless…because many can’t say that.
We can’t change people’s decisions about things concerning themselves…and what it is or isn’t that they want to do. Nor can we force things down people’s throats…or should we try. That is one of the greatest beauties of God…choice. He desires that we should have it…and with the hope that we make the right ones.
Well, the day is almost over. Its been quiet and I am trying to finish up on some things. I want to complete some things before the new year comes in. I want my book, THE BISHOP’S WIFE, to be out and available for sale…my website launched. And a couple of other things settled too.
So, I am looking forward to transitioning into 2010…working on some other and new things. And to be well on my way to doing more for the Lord.
