JUANITA BYNUM SPOKE A WORD HERE…

If ever I agree with someone I must say that I certainly agree here.

Yes, it has gone much too too too too far the way that many of the women who called themselves ‘saved’ and are a part of the gospel music world of today.

When you see Shirley Caesar dressing like a fool then you truly know something is wrong.   She was a staple… a solid rock…  a rock … a torch bearer.   But it appears that she too is becoming carried away with the style and attitudes of the world.  And it is very sad.

I have been trying to find that first dress I saw on Yolanda Adams where.  It was utterly ridiculous that I wondered how in the world she had put it without realizing that THAT DRESS was certainly going to start a stir in the black Christian world.   And it must truly have done so… because it is nowhere to be found on the internet.

For years now we have known that a vast majority our gospel singers were interested in crossing over into the secular world.  They looked over and saw the money… the cars… the houses etc… etc… etc.   But if the truth be told the gospel artist who are on top make plenty of money some demanding more than $20,000 a show.

I have paid $4,000 for an act to come in to do a prayer breakfast.  Well, almost we haven’t seal the deal.  I expanded it into doing a concert later that evening.   Because I just could not see myself paying anyone $4,000 just to show up at our prayer breakfast… and then have to fly them in and put them up in a hotel too without getting the full benefit from my investment.

But gospel artist demand a lot of money.   I once over heard my past mumbling after having brought a certain, used to be a bit heavier and fuller breast, gospel singer in.  She demanded a limousine and to stay in a 5 star hotel.

They want to be treated like rock stars… super stars.   Oh, they bring the anointing… 

Well, some of them.   But are they really worth the big ticket many of them want to demand.   I think not.

But it is not a matter of the money which this blog is about… but about their matter of dress.   And it speaks volumes.

The Bible tells us to ‘come out from among them.’   And ‘to be ye transformed.’ 

Then why are some many of our gospel artist negating ‘the word’ to want to become more and more like the world?

It is hard to believe that today we see many gospel female artists who want to dress like Lil’ Kim or Nicki Minaj.

What happen to dressing in a way becoming to a woman… not like a woman trying to sing and sell her wares too?   Because that is very much what it looks like.

They are exposing their breast…  their shoulders… thighs…   legs…. and everything else.

They are getting implants… breast implants… hip and thigh implants  etc.   all designed to make them look more voluptuous.   But didn’t the Bible say that a woman should be modestly dress, as not to draw attention to her body?

But the flesh is alive and well sadly in the gospel world.  And it appears that the more these women show of it the happier they are about it.

I didn’t think it was robbery how Mahalia Jackson used to dress… or any of those old gospel women groups.   Even Shirley Caesar… somebody I would have never believed would be trying to follow the ways of this world… is getting into the act, and looking like she enjoys it.

But if the truth be told this trend is showing up in their music too.   Most the music that comes out today is just plain garbage.   And I don’t know who told these so-called song writers that pulling a few words of scripture from Psalms and singing over and over and over and over and over… is really a song or song writing.

What Rev. Timothy Wright’s wife did with ‘Jesus Jesus Jesus’ cannot be duplicated.   And we are told in scripture that there is nothing like the name of Jesus, and this song certainly proved that because I never have to think about the tone or key to sing it… and I feel the power in that song whenever I hear it.

But this other mess or repetitive words is just plain junk for the most part.   It has no power and touches nothing down deep inside you.  It is a key change after key change without any real meaning or significance… not really worth singing and definitely not much worth hearing.   Because there is usually nothing to these songs at all but a waste of time.

I am sorry to see our real song writing in the gospel music world take a decline… and a back seat to this junk of repetitive words which have no anointing whatsoever… outside of Rev.  Timothy’s Wright’s wife song.   It is kind of odd that not much after she had written this song that that fatal accident coming from A.I.M, a Church of God in Christ convention held that year in Detroit… took place in which God took her and a grandson… and not long after her He took the Right Reverend Wright too.   But what a song… and songs they left us with.   And also a firm belief in God… and a knowledge that they were ‘real religious people of God’... not like many of these perpetrating gospel singers ‘wanna be’ secular people of today.

Well, God bless….    Well, it is wet here but my cousin tells me that they are in for snow today.   But it is spring and we are just a couple of weeks away from Easter.

So, let me be the first to wish you a happy and safe Easter.   What a grand time it is as we move forward to celebrating the purpose our Lord and Savor and… to lay down his life that he would rise again… so that we all may have a right to life over death.

WHAT IS ALL THE HYPE ABOUT??? WHO IS EDWARD SNOWDEN…

Concerning that guy held up in Russia.  The 1 who supposedly spilled all the beans on the U.S. eavesdropping on its citizens.

I really don’t get it.  Didn’t George Orwell spill the beans on that years ago, when he wrote that book that Big Brother was watching us… or would be.  Since the book was futuristic.

So, the future has arrived and we find that the United States and probably every other country on this planet, with any kind of good sense is listening in on its citizens.  Lets face it in the world that we live in today… it probably is a good thing that somebody other than thieves, murders… spies… rapists and espionage people etc. may or may not be listening in.

Oftentimes it appears that the wrong parties have the upper hand.   In watching some of these television shows a lot more contracts would be put out for somebody to kill his or her husband or wife over the phone… or some other kinds of craziness… if they didn’t believe somebody might be listening in.

We live in a time of great peril.  Hadn’t you heard, ‘Evil is everywhere?’

When George Orwell wrote ‘1984’ few people would have believed that 1 person would have be able to predict so much in our changing times that would someday come to pass.  But Orwell did.

Was he a prophet?

Or was he just a person with a keen sense of being able to look at things as they were, and then be able to assess how they would be some time in the distant future?

When Orwell wrote ‘1984’ it was just 1949.  What had been going on in the world then?

Had the first man walked in space by then?

No.

Had Kennedy been elected?

No.

So, what was happening in 1949 that Orwell could sit down somewhere and write a book called, 1984, that predicted events and changes in the world which did eventually come about?

One major thing was television.  Electronic gadgets were starting to come into the market.  The first commercial computer was introduced… didn’t do well and wasn’t well received.  But it was there.

Color came into the homes when RCA developed the first colorized television set.  China became a communist country and Russia unleashed the making of its first atomic bomb.  Family incomes were growing, consumer purchases were sky rocketing, and the U.S. had emerged out of the Great Depression… and the 2nd World War had come to an end, 4 years earlier in 1945.

Undoubtedly, the U.S. at this point had emerged as a great World power.  The Cold War between Russia and America was fully under way, and America’s Allies and its strength was growing.  The C.I.A. was becoming active in aiding in setting up governments, and placing men of soon-to-be-power into power around the world.  And Orwell was a journalist working for the BBC… the British Broadcasting Company.

When Orwell, a British Subject, as they say… and working for the BBC… wrote ‘1984’ he depicted a world run by a government that was omnipresent… observing all its people at all times… an existence totally politically directed by those in control…and where Big Brother’s eyes and ears were everywhere… an ever present force.

When you go outside today… out to the street and look up you see cameras on the street lights… hanging off of roof tops.  They even tiny little cameras and mics that can be placed into very unsuspecting places… even in public places all about.  Places like hotels… lobbies… even bathrooms… school rooms… commuter rails… even on someone’s person… etc.   Therefore, it should not surprise you that you are being recorded… or your actions watched.   We all have watched enough TV to see how detectives can go and acquire video footage from surveillance cameras in lobbies… parking lots etc… in order to aid them in tracking down criminals.  Cabs have them… police cars have them… and sometimes full camera crews.

If they can use such equipment to observe and track criminals… what made you think it could not be used to observe you too?

I was surprised when someone told me that all I had to do was Google my address… and see what came up.  What came up was not just a picture… but a whole satellite viewing of where I live… up and down my street… all around my house.

Then take for instance GPS systems… they can tell your whereabouts at any given time.  You use them as directional devices, but that directional device can be used to track you.  Such devices are embedded inside vehicles too by manufacturers.  So, if you fail to make your monthly payment they no longer have to search or try to figure out where you are… if you are trying to avoid repossession.  No, not any more.  They can push it up on a computer and come right to where you are… wherever that it .  And no matter where that is they will take possession of their property, depriving you of a vehicle until payment and fees are paid in full.

Rental cars too have embedded in them the same thing.  So that if a car is not returned timely the rental agency can go and get their property, as well.

When I read things on the social network it amazes me just how much information people share over such public outlets as the internet.  They list their jobs… home address… phone numbers… email addresses… schools they went to… towns they live in… had lived in… show pictures of their children… list the names of their relatives… and show their pictures etc…

When Edward Snowden decided that he could no longer work for whatever governmental agency that had hired him here in the U.S.A… because his conscious bothered him concerning how this government is secretly listening in on conversations of American citizens… my only question that came to mind was this…

Out of all the countries Snowden could have ran away to… why Russia?

I have heard people speak of Russia… ex-citizens of that country.  And that government routinely indulges in practices that cannot even begin to come close to just listening in on its citizens conversations.

I was sitting in one of my college classes once… which wasn’t so very long ago contrary to popular belief… and this Russian woman came into our class to visit and speak about her country.  She was a guest of our Professor.  She spoke of how in Russia you could not just go into business unless the government allowed you.  She talked about how the Russian government controlled the newspapers and television… all the media outlets in Russia.  And how everyone there… in Russia was under the restraint and control of the Russian government.

So, isn’t it ironic to anyone outside of myself… did you not think it strange that Edward Snowden would have ran from Japan to go to Russia trying to seek asylum there?

It is very contradictory at the very least.

We are living in the turmoils of the many diverse problems in this world today, which include bombing of public places to kill and/or hurt as many people as possible.

I am one who believes that if the crooks and hackers can assess our systems, read our emails, go into our accounts… listen in on our conversations, go up over the internet to case our exact location and homes… apartments… where we eat… what we buy… then why would Snowden’s disclosure that our government is doing it… be of any great surprise or shock to me or any one of us?

It wasn’t… least ways not to me.   I was never upset when after 911 they started stopping subway trains in New York City to do random bomb searches.  And neither were any of the other passengers on the subways I rode with… we all understood the times we had just stepped into when the Twin Towers came tumbling down after being flown into by those 2 airplanes.

Why should I be?

Being held up for those searches we all understood… as we knew they were trying to protect us.  Save more people from being killed senselessly.  So, if the government has taken to listening in on phone calls and watching people… whose fault is that?

Whose fault?

The perpetrators.  Clearly, they would love our government to sit back and do nothing… but wait until the next strike comes… like helpless children.

Did not some kind of plan have to go into effect in defense of people possibly flooding into America to destroy her, and those of us who live here.

Yes, I do believe that Snowden should be prosecuted.  Because he chose that job.  I am sure that he was not brought into that job without the U.S. government informing him that he was going to come in contact with highly classified information.  And based upon that… and I would have to believe that any oath he may have taken in order to obtain that job… which I assume paid Ed Snowden royally… he had a duty and responsibility to live up to.  Up to the secrecy and security that that position called for him to maintain.

Information that has to do with the security of our country, and the means by which that information is extracted should be left to those who are the safe-keepers.  However, should methods and techniques such as using undue force, harassment and intimidation etc. to acquire that information… those things I am totally and 100 per-cent against.  And these are things that I hope anyone being party do bring forward… but I cannot put listening-in-on… upon that same level.

Now, had Snowden’s information been of something along the nature that may have caused mass harm or life threatening… like say the government was doing something that was detrimental to us… our health and/or welfare then I would weigh in on Snowden’s right of consciousness to do the right thing by disclosing that info to us.  But to merely tell us that we are being listening in on by the government…  No, that information played more to divulging our country’s security practices, more than any personal life threatening issues that we all needed to be made aware of.

I cannot begin to tell you the number of times I called the New York Telephone company to complain about other people being on my phone line.  I could hear whole 2-way conversations.  And I was sure that they could do the same when it came to my calls.

There was a time in this country and most countries, I suspect… when telephones first got started that there were nothing but what they then called ‘party-lines.’  Telephone lines where you could pick up the phone and if someone was on that line talking to someone else, you just hung up and waited until you could get a clear line.  So, the ability to listen in on phone lines… and phone calls has a very long history, which dates back to the beginning of telephone service.

Lets face it,  we are all aware that most of the phone lines and/or computer internet lines that we work on and/or talk over, and text over are not secure.  In fact, when the portable phones came into being… you remember those cordless phones with the long antennas.  Everybody knew that you could be listened in on at any given time, due to the lines crossing, by anybody in your neighborhood.

I frankly do not know anyone who talks about anything really important over a telephone… or in an email… or in a text.

We all of us…   Or should I say most of us remember that it was text messages that brought down the Mayor of Detroit in his escapades with his Office Administrator, Kwame Kilpatrick.

So, then how important was Snowden’s disclosure?

Not very.  It just let out of the bag… and made public to all the world something that most people already understood to be happening or could possibly be happening anytime they picked up a telephone or cell phone to use it.

I would imagine that you would be very hard press at these times to find any country that is not using some type of surveillance system and/or listening devices in order to stem the tide of bombings, country take overs, aid in fighting against drugs and/or corruptness on ever level everywhere.

George Orwell when he wrote his book, 1984, saw many things.  But he did not see the changes that would become necessary in a world that man would turn against man, for no unknown reason… or a just cause.  Outside of shear hatred of a culture… and the freedoms of 1 country over another.  Or a right to practice a different religion.

Snowden a 30 year old ex-C.I.A and National Security Agency employee leaked details on several top secret United States and British surveillance intelligence.  A proclaimed Buddhist and whistle blower, Snowden grew up primary in North Carolina.  And when all of this broken… this story on U.S.A secret surveillance programs… and about Snowden turning over these highly confidential government secrets, he had been assigned to a U.S. post in Japan, where which he later fled to Russia seeking asylum from the United States as a spy… espionage and theft of government information.

Well, God bless…  Well, I’ve got to run.  I’ve noticed that the campuses are starting to come alive again.  Saw a few school buses drive pass me today… a clear signal that school is just about in again.  Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.  The weather here is beautiful.  Such a relief from all the tremendous heat we had been going through.

UPDATE: THURSDAY, AUGUST 6, 2013…  Russia has now given asylum to Snowden.  Supposedly it is for a year.   But some South American country had offered Snowden asylum prior… but Snowden did not accept it.

It all strikes me as being a bit too odd.  Why would this guy want to defect to Russia… of all places?

If he is so big on human right… the right of the public citizens… our right to not have government listening in on our conversations… then why choose Russia, of all places?

I am beginning to believe that Snowden was… and is a Russian spy.   From the very beginning this guy was a little to shady, as they say in ‘the hood.’  First he was ‘anonymous.‘  Then he ran away getting as quickly as he could to Russia?

This whole supposed whistle-blowing thing… I believe it will be proven to have been some kind of  a scheme, cooked up as a well thought out plan for Snowden to have released American Intelligence claiming it was due to  his conscience bothering him over what the American Government was doing.  When it was nothing more than sheer just fabrication on his part and those working with him, to cover-up who Snowden really is… and just who he was really working for in the first place.

Truthfully speaking if they found out today that this whole thing was just 1 big fat lie… I would not be surprised.

Who in their right mind defects to Russia… a country with a history of routinely victimizing its citizens and invading their privacy?

Something is way out of whack here.  And it just does not smell right.

Serena sick… Young aspiring athletes… Extremism…

I don’t know maybe it is because I have become somewhat disappointed in both Serena and Venus  in the last few months… that when I looked at my blog stats yesterday…and the day before… I just never paid any attention to all the hits for info on them.    As a rule I do pay a lot attention to what people are hitting my blog in search of.   But for some reason not to the hits for information of  the William’s sisters.

But this got pass me…until today when I happened to see the title of  an internet  news headline… reading that Serena was sick.

The story read that Serena had to go into the hospital following the Oscars due to a blood clot in 1 of  her lungs.  And it said that this past Monday it seems that  Serena  had to undergo…what they called ‘medical treatment’…. but sounds more like surgery for what they are calling ‘hematoma.’

It definitely sounds serious… and certainly reason for great concern.

We certainly pray for Serena and her family.

No matter how much money we may amass… it may aid in getting the best possible medical attention… but it cannot compensate for life without pain or health issues.

What would you rather have… money or life without pain or illness?

In  looking over  other news pieces over the internet lately… which has  basically today has become my only primary means of  regularly reading news… it seems to me that most of  it is geared towards todays new up and coming rising athletic stars.  Be it football or basketball… or whatever have you… though mostly football and basketball… it strikes me like…

Well, to me… like they are robbing candy from a baby.

Most of  these new talents are nothing more than just kids that they are running after today… many are barely in junior high… or what they call today… middle-school.  And they are running after them waving money… jewelry… and everything else that they can in order to get the young hopeful’s attention.  And that of  their parents also.

In fact, 1 mother was so gun-ho over what they were promising her and her son… that she signed his papers for him.  They call that forgery… and it is punishable by the law.  And she did it so she could commit her son to a certain college.

And today it is such a big thing  just watching to see what school certain of these young hopefuls will be going to.  And it means big money… endorsements… and all kinds of  business to certain schools.  Not to mention the attention media and otherwise to the school and/or college campus as well.

Whether it is an  athletic franchise… or national pro team… or some high and mighty college… these young kids… babies really are being sought out  and after to their own demise whether they know it or not.

A young  kid  in  junior high… or–or in middle-school, if you must… has no business having his  or  head turned towards looking for a  big pay-day sometime in their foreseeable supposed future.  Rather their minds should be centered on their education.  They should be concerned about making good grades and getting out of grade school… and then on to college.

These kids today… the chosen few… are being scouted far too young.  They are being spoon fed on a bunch of  hopes and far away dreams that may never come into being.  The promises may simply not materialize for most of  them.   And this is a very real fact.

Then what?

Where will they turn?

What will become of  their lives?

Sure LeBron made it.  And so didn’t Moses Malone.

But success is certainly not guaranteed to a  bunch grade schoolers who may show promise today… but may not be able to step to the mark as they continue to grow and develop physically.   Or not grow… or not  be able to stand up to the pressures of  pro sports and all the baggage that those pressures bring into the life of many professional athletes.

And these kids are developing over inflated egos… and attitudes that will sooner or later destroy them and kill any promise that they may or may not have really had.  But mouth and arrogance got in the way of what  might have  become.

A key basketball  player at Brigham Young University found out the hard way… that the same way they can put you up… they can take you down.  And even if  it costs them a season.

There  is just so much extreme extremism in America… it is just hard to believe.

What crazy church would want to picket the funeral of  U.S. military men and women who have sacrificed their lives for this country… to be outside the funerals carrying  signs decrying America …and saying things like-

“Thank God for 9/11.”

Or… “God hates America.”

What sick perverted people would be doing that?

It is as insane as saying you are pro-life and you go out and blow up an abortion clinic  filled with pregnant women in it.

It is contrary…and insane.  And it certainly is not Christianly.

There is nothing about such acts that can be proclaimed as being holy or saintly.  The people who set about enraging people to go out and to do such things are just people who are full of  nothing but the devil.

And though I usually do not speak in such terms… the truth is the truth.  And this  is  truth telling-time.

I  felt the same way about preachers who loaded up buses to take people to Capitol Hill to protest gay marriages.

These things are just foolish.

Putting people of  buses and travelling to the state capitol did not change 1 thing.

There is ‘sin’ in the land.  There are ‘evils’ in the land.  And none of  this extremism attitude is addressing any of  the real issues.   This is why the devil is called ‘the great deceiver.’   He takes people’s  eyes off  what they really should be paying attention  to.

There are some  real core issues in this country and around the world that are in dire need of  addressing.  And they …these issues… go beyond self perceived notions of  what is or is not sinful… or a greater sin.

Why should every American soldier have to endure a bunch of  crazy people targeting their funerals in that small Kansas town… or anywhere is this country… causing nothing but more grief  for their already grieving families and friends?

Is there not enough chaos and unrest all over the world without us here in America causing ourselves any more than what is necessary?

Soon people will be in the streets searching out their neighbors… and brother will be against brother.  It is prophesy.

So, some berserk preacher… and it is funny all these little un-named and unknown preachers coming out of  the woodwork wanting to make some kind of  stir that will land them on ‘Good Morning America’ or ‘Nightline’… or some other television show.   Then they’ll write a book …get an agent and go out on tour.

Going back to my original thought… these berserk little preachers trying to make a name for themselves… go out and stir up their congregations feeding them false doctrine… and backward ignorant thinking.

We serve a God of  love.  Who tells us to seek peace with ‘all’ men.

During Biblical times were there not homosexuals?

Did Jesus target them?

Did he set out to get them?

Did Jesus even preach against them?

No.  Because we serve a God of  love.   Who says with ‘love and kindness have I drawn thee.’   And do note those words… ‘drawn thee.’   Not  tried to chase you away… or antagonize you… or belittle or berate anyone.

And anyone who acts in such a way is not of  God.  But serves that other master… no matter how much they would debate this.

What is the question here…

What is responsibility?

When somebody espouses a whole lot of trash talking in the ghetto…

Well, they just better be able to back it up or say nothing.

That is how it is in the hood.

Now, I have never lived in the streets or out on the lane …or down on the Blvd.  But I do know that when you fool around and talk a lot of   junk you better be ready to back it up… or suffer the consequences.

During the pre-term elections recently held this past November… Sara Palin did a whole lot of  big talking… before and after.   Even as far as pasting up a bunch of  cross-hairs upon certain campaign areas that she and her supposed ‘tea party’ crew… or group of  flunkies… were aiming to take over.

This past weekend in 1 of those areas … a congresswoman was shot in the head and 6 others were killed in an area that Palin singled out on her cross-hairs map.

That sounds like a whole of  lot of big time talk.  The which if  it had been done in the hood it would have meant all out and out war.  Because it would have certainly meant that you were out to get somebody.

And it would have meant that you were gunning for them.  And in hood talk… that means to kill ’em.

You don’t go around drawing pictures like that in the hood… and nobody knows what it means?

No, that is a loud and crystal clear message… ask any black folks.

Frankly, such a thing should be as illegal as shouting “FIRE” in crowded place.

I do not think that it is a coincidence that Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, a Arizona State Representative, and liberal political was shot in the head some 2 days ago.

Nor do I believe that the shooting was some ramdom act of some dissatisfied Arizonan voter.

No, I think that the picture is a lot bigger than that.

It is a picture of  hate mongering and fear embedding that became very popular under the Bush administration.  Something that the Republicans have become very famous  …or should I say… infamous for doing.    Then turning around and crying that they ‘had nothing to do with it.’  

But the tactics are theirs.  And they pull them out whenever a political race is hot… meaning close… and when they wish to get an upper hand.

So, they set about evoking weak-minded people to do tragic things like shooting an innocent woman in the head, who was working hard to  the benefit of  the people which she represents.

And, yes.

Sarah Palin is to blame along with those who coach her.  And  they need to go up on charges of  conspiracy.    For acting to incite individuals to go out and commit murder or other type of criminal acts against politicians that they are against.

If a person worked in an insane asylum and gathered up the interest of a resident in that asylum provoking that person to hate someone enough to hurt or even kill them.  And the insane asylum person upon his release goes in search of the person they had been provoked against… and somehow hurts or otherwise kills the person… who would be to blame?

Clearly, the person who provoked the insane person to do so.

And the law would seek that person out.

So, why should Sara Palin and her people be any different?

This world is full of a lot  of sick and/or weak-minded individuals who listen and believe  a lot of the political rhetoric that they hear… watch or read.  A lot of  it is devicely twisted to anger people falsely.  And in cases such as in the Palin camp… they work to implant seeds of  violent acts.

And anyone who does this is looking for a violent outcome.

Why else would anyone put up gun cross-hairs if they were not insinuating that someone should go out and shot somebody that they have set their sights upon?

That is the only reason why someone would do that.

And to do so is illegal.

And is certainly not a joke.

Lets say the shoe was on the other foot… and the congresswoman and launch a website and put up a map with gun cross-hairs on it.  And in the center of those cross-hairs was Palin and her family.

What do you think would have been Palin’s out-cry?

Would there have been one?

Yes.  You bet… and a loud one.  And Palin would have been seeking some type of  action.  Maybe even legal I have no doubt.

The Republicans love double standards.  They can play certain games… but not you.

You can’t… because they are quick to cry ‘foul.’

If  a  group of  cons or crooks…. or drug cartel…. or thugs had mastermind such a thing without a doubt they would have all been rounded up by now and charged.

Is this not the same thing when a drug dealer puts a gun into the hand of  little child 12 or 13 -year-old, and tells them to go out and shoot somebody?

They know that the little 12 or 13-year-old is a kid, and not likely to serve a sentence as long as theirs would be, if they went out and perpetrated the crime themselves.

What is the difference between using weak-minded people that do what some of  these politicians tell them to do via their commercials and other rhetoric used to poison the minds of  such people, in order to have  them go out and do their dirty work?

I am for justice and totally against people who would ever try to incinerate anyone against somebody simply because we do not agree politically… or religiously.   Or for any reason really.

In the  1980’s when the anti-abortion acted in similar ways… the outcome was abortion clinics being bombed, and abortion doctors were killed.

How crazy was that?

You don’t believe in abortion but you blow up people in an abortion clinic?

Or go out shooting abortion doctors?

What kind of  life did they believe in?

Only that of  the fetus… and not that of  the adult people they were killing?

Is life not life?

Are we all to agree on every subject?

Just how boring would life be if we all submitted ourselves out of  fear to being liked minded because someone was holding a gun over us.

There is a sickness that prevails and is festering, least ways in this country, that makes 1 re-consider George Orwell’s book.  And perhaps we need not look at  Big Brother as  a government system… but as a political party.  The Republican Party.

Well, this is my first post for the New Year.

I was so busy prior to stepping into this New Year that I literally barely got any sleep for almost 8 days.  A whole lot of  legal work to take care of.

First of all, the city had come up against my parent’s house for property taxes.  And I had to act really quickly in order to try to head it off.

So, that is still in the works.  Hopefully, we will get a court date and God will give the Judge to be kind.

Then there some other legal matters that I wanted to have out of  hair before stepping into 2011… and finally I did manage to do that too.

So, you see I wasn’t just goofing off.

And I had to go out to shovel snow 2 times this past weekend.  But thank goodness it was neither heavy or a lot of snow.

So, all is well.

And I am wishing you a great and highly prosperous year.

And thank goodness God is still on throne.

Mind games…

After meeting up with the religious nut in the back of  my parent’s yard… I strongly believe that people today are looking for some ray of  hope… some divine saviour to remove all their woes and care away.

The man spoken about in the above news LINK… looks very much like the image we have all come to recognize as Jesus Christ.  He walks around barefooted and in a robe.  His hair is about the length of  the hair we have all seen in those pictures and statues of  the supposed Jesus.  And he leads people to believe that he is Jesus… but he never discloses his true name.

They call him “What’s his name.” 

They marvel at him and look upon with reverence… as if they truly believe that this man walking around trying to pretend in the most obvious ways that he is Jesus re-born or something.

Well, going back to our neighbor in the house behind us.   This man believes that he is Jesus too.  Truly.

And not only does he believe it… but he tries to force the thought down my throat.

There is but 1 God.  And clearly whether most people believe it or not only 1 Jesus Christ… who will eventually return.   But he is not here yet.

I am not foolish enough to believe that the guy behind our house is the second coming.  Who often tells me that God spoke to him and told me that he should come and rake or otherwise clean our yard.  All this… while asking me to kiss him.

What kind of  God would have me to do that?

Not the 1 that I know.

So, I do not entertain the man.  Because I recognize that something clearly is wrong with him.  And something is wrong with the guy in Hazelton, PA… who believes he can walk around in a robe, wear his hair down to his shoulder, while walking around barefooted , speaking in  a soft voice while all the while pretending in some less than subtle kind of way that he is Jesus Christ.

It is a con job.  And it comes at a time when many people are unsure about a lot of  things… such as whether or not their house will be foreclosed on… how they will get the money to  heat bill… or will their children be able to stay another semester in college… or whether or not they will be able to find another job.

In times of  hardship, distress and unrest we all look for something.  But it is not the time to reach out to people pretending to be something which they clearly are not.  And could never be.

Perpetrators come in all sizes, shapes and forms.  And 1 of the biggest type of  perpetrators… even since

Biblical times have been those who wanted to pretend like they were and are holy… while seeking to do evil.

In the Appalachian Mountains of  this country live some of  the countries most tested people.  People who have been used, abused and exploited for more than just capital gain. Made to drink and bathe in dirty contaminated water, while sucking in air full of cancerous and poisonous pollutants… in places that used to be so pristine, so pure and so clean.

Now, in walks this man… “What his name.”

On the political front I received a call from a friend of mine last night saying-

“What do you think about your President?”

I really didn’t at first know what she meant.  But as she went on she expressed her disapproval of  Obama caving in to the Republicans concerning the Bush tax cuts.

It seems she had been watching a lot of   TV lately… following closely those debates where everybody sits around debating every turn or statement and action that Barack Obama does.

I told her that it seemed to me that there were a lot news shows lately that seemed totally dedicated to critiquing any and everything Obama did or said… especially every policy and word he utters.  Yet, as dumb as George Bush was nobody sat around dissecting every little thing he did.  And clearly somebody should have.

If we voted Obama in…then we should be willing enough to allow him to do his job without all of  us standing over him with a whip.   Or by allowing others  to get  us to try and second guess him… on everything.

Who can work like that?

Who wants to work like that?

Oh, ye  of  little faith.   Politics is about making concessions.  It is all about give and take.   It is the first rule of  lawyering and anything else where there are 2 opposing sides.

Without subcoming to part of  what the Republicans wanted millions of  poor people and out of  work people would  suffered otherwise while Republicans having a majority vote would still be able to push through whatever they want to.

I believe Obama to be shrewd and a strategic man.  A man who makes no moves or plans without thoughtfully weighting them out fully and all their possible ramifications.  With all of  that being said…

“Let us all please let him do his job without all of  us falling prey to what news media  and so-called would-be experts would have us believe.”

As dumb as George W. Bush was… and as much of  a liar he proved himself  to be… he never suffered this much scrutiny and lack of  confidence as is being levied against Obama.  Or disrespect either.  Far be it that a black man should succeed or prove to be successful in the office of  the President of  this country.

I am very sick of  hearing… that Obama does not know what he is doing.  It is very  very easy to sit in a seat over in a corner  or somewhere and say that.

Don’t fall for the lies… and fake analyses.  They are only meant to belittle and berate him.  And to make Obama appear ineffective and unknowing… and worst of  all  ill-informed.   He’s bigger than that.

I’m looking forward to great things from what history will prove to be a great man… and perhaps our greatest President.

It has  started snowing here.  And it has been soooooo cold.

Today I stayed mostly in bed.  But finally I started feeling guilty.  So, I got up and started stirring about.

I have got a ton of  boxes laying about.  I am trying to clear up the house a bit.  I figure if  I do a little a day I might just get it all done.  So, I am working on it.

Forgot to mention that last Saturday… are you ready for this?

Last Saturday I got my first royalty check for my book, THE BISHOP’S WIFE.  Can’t believe it.  Wasn’t much… but it is just the idea that somebody read… or is reading my book.  I really hope to get some feedback on it if you are 1 of  them.  Thanks so much.

And I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.  Ours was great… filled with lots of  family, friends and food.

And I do note the passing of  Elizabeth Edwards who loss her battle against cancer just a couple of days ago.  There is 1 thing about strong women they never let anything take them down.   Not heartache or disappointment… or  even sickness.

NEWS FLASH… bsmith101.wordpress.com … over 100,100 readers…

I just could not keep this to myself.

Today I hit and went over 100,000 people reading this blog.  That is so amazing.

I feel like celebrating.  I could not have done it without you.

Not that I get paid to do it.  Or that I am looking to get paid for doing it.  But it is surprising to me that over 100,000 people would want to read anything that I have to say.  And then to like doing it.

When I first started blogging…I have to admit there was a time when I wondered-

“How is anybody ever going to find me?”

Meaning this blog over the internet.  It is not like I put up a big sign or some billboard somewhere.

But somehow you did.  You found me.  And I think that is so amazing.

Initially, I started off   with about 7 readers per day…had to have been friends…as I sent them all out a notice…and I really thought that was great.  I mean…that 7 people…even if  they were my friends…7 people somewhere liked my blog and wanted to read it.  But then my 7 grew to 9 regulars each and every day.  And that was a big turning point for me…I could not believe it…and they always read my blogs about the same time each day.

Then my readers went from the 9 to 24…and I kept thinking-

“This is amazing…24 people reading my blog everyday.  Wow…”

That was, of course, when I was blogging each and every day.  Something that I do not do any longer.  Not because I do not want to…but I just do not have half as much to say anymore.  Besides, when I started blogging the race to the White House was in full swing between Obama, Hillary and McCain.  Hillary started acting crazy…Bush had long ago gotten on my nerves…gas prices went soaring out of control…and tons of people were facing foreclosure including my parent’s property.

So, you see…

Yes, I had lots and lots to talk about when I got started some what…???

Well…it has been all of  less than 18 months ago.

Though through that time I did manage to publish nearly 200 blogs…write and publish a book…complete 8 college courses and emerge with my BS in Communications and Political Sciences…with minors in History, English and Human Relations.

And today I hit over 100,000  readers on this blog…nearly 100,100 to be exact.  And it is early yet…the numbers are still climbing.

It is my sincere hope that this blog has not only been entertaining to you…but also informative…as well as…thought provoking.  And I thank you for allowing me opportunity to share with you.

Perhaps you have not always agreed with me…but I thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion on the matter anyway.

Or perhaps you have and usually do…agree with me.  Wow…do I love you.

Please continue to share this blog with your family and friends…and that lady down the street…the man upstairs….just everybody!

And I promise I will continue to write.  Though I actually do it all via the computer.  Straight off of  the top of my head.

And oh, yeah…  I don’t know what it is doing your way…but it has sure gotten cold over this way.  Some people say it’s going to snow at least once more.  But I do not think so.  I do believe, however, that we are in for a very very hot summer.

And since most of  this summer I plan to be on tour with my book, THE BISHOP’S WIFE…I have already started planning for it.  First thing of  course…was an investment into a whole new wardrobe…and I do mean a ‘whole new wardrobe.’  I will not tell anyone how much I spent Saturday  while calling here and there placing orders.

But I needed them.  So, I won’t complain.  Every now and then…we owe to ourselves to invest something in ourself.  So, I did.

I can’t be out around people and looking shabby.   Though most of  time…well, I hate to say it.

But who cares about clothes?

I’m too busy.  But sometimes you just got to break down and buy something new.  From one place I ordered 14 items.  Then another place I order 1 thing, and 1 thing from some place else.  And then I tried to hide the charge card…

Because once I got started spending it seemed that I didn’t want to stop.

EXTREMISM…Chastity Bono

I had thought not to touch this story and just keep my private thoughts on it to myself…and share  them among friends only…and only if they asked me.  But after thinking about it I realized that I could not.

One of the things about coming out of something…is that you sometimes can become highly convicted in your stance against  whatever it is or was that you may have come out of.  Or in other words…things you no longer wallow in…or transgress in…indulge in…or no longer partake in…and was the way you used to be…etc…  So, you emerge from it  being  very strongly opposed to it.

You become very anti- it…about  whatever it was  or is that you used to do…or who you used to be…but now are not…or of  that which you no longer do…or indulge in.    You in fact…move all the way over to the far left side of the bar…and become an extremist regarding that issue…or thing that once had you bounded.  Usually, the farthest  you can get from it…emotionally and opinion-wise as well.

So, having already told you that I was once ‘in the life’  in several other blogs…meaning  I was a lesbian…gay…lived  in the homosexual lifestyle…then I feel I can freely talk on this subject.  But do not ask me anything about drugs or alcohol…or most of anything else…because I know little to nothing on such subjects…outside of the fact of what I have seen regarding the affects of them…or the after-affects of them.  That being said…

Chastity Bono, the daughter of Rock icons Sonny & Cher of the 70’s, decision to alter her sex…and the way that it is being presented in the media…really kind of disturbs me.  Not her decision to change her sex…because that is her choice…but it is the media (the type of coverage) on it that concerns me.

Having had been in the life for many years…some I don’t know…more than 30+ years…I have known many women.  But the people I knew…or should say know…as I still know them…and still converse with some of  them…though I do not hang out with them…but all of them were women who were happy to be women.  In fact…they celebrated their woman-ness… sought out places that were exclusively women… restaurants… bookstores… vacation spots… curise-liners… clubs… etc…

So, Chastity’s decision is not the norm… far from it, in fact.   Many lesbian women have no dealings with men.  And hate them for various historical reasons in regard to their lives and past histories.

Though today, I do see many more young girls trying to really do this thing…that is called ‘butch’ themselves up.  With the hanging pants…and all the other things they do.  But still it is not the norm.  And thank goodness for that.

Imagine this world…if  everybody decided that they wanted to change who God created them to be?

How whacked out this place would be?

Some people would be walking around calling themselves some kind of animal…maybe this is a bit  extreme.  But not that far fetch… considering some of the things that some people involve themselves in.

I can’t image wanting to change my sex to become a man.  I am so happy that I never had that conflict.  I mean I have always wondered…how it is that men go to the bathroom when they do the number 2?  

Do men sit on the toilet and have to hold that piece downward in their hands?   I don’t really know men like that as I was a lesbian.   So, I have no way of knowing.  But I do have a serious thing about germs.  I know I really wouldn’t want to do that.   I would be so afraid that I might touch some filthy toilet seat…if  I were out in public having to do that.   Though  rarely do I go to the bathroom while out.

And yes…I am a bit naive.  I do admit it.  There are many things that I do not know.

And since we are on the subject…   When they…men…stand over the urinals…all of that spattering…all over your pants legs.  Who wants to go through all of that?

Yes, I am happy to be a woman.  Though the men’s bathrooms tend to be a bit cleaner.   I have heard that.

But if…I were a man.  Why would I want to be a woman?

What would be the benefit of that?

I am just so glad that God does the selecting and choosing…as to what we will be.  Could you imagine a more confusing situation than that?   Trying to choose whether your child would male or female.   Though some scientist have tried to come up with a way of doing just that.  And many countries  put a premimium on one sex over  the other…the male species.  Though without women this world would come to a very sudden and complete end.

But  going back to my original train of thought…I just could not see myself as being a man…or having ever wanting to be one.  And thank goodness none of my gay women friends have had to battle with that either…nor any of my male friends.

I can imagine the pain that one must go through having that conflict.  Because that has to be one very big and hard inward battle going on to decide to do such a thing.

The truth of the matter, however, is this…the mind plays tricks…and if you are not careful you will fall into the trap.  Of  believing something that is not so.

If  you look into the mirror every day thinking that you hate what looks back and that-

“I would look good as a man.”

Or perhaps…as a woman.  Sooner or later you will begin to believe that you should have been born a man or a woman.   You will also start to believe that you see certain characteristics or qualities about yourself…which in reality  have been sub-consciously taken on…and/or implanted in your sub-conscious…which may not  truly be there…and do not really exist.   But because it is what you want to see and  placed in your mind…it is what you will see.  So, if you desire to see certain things…over time you may come to believe that you see them.

Then in turn you will believe that those characteristics verify the fact that you should be…and are really something else other than what you are.  And so you come to the final conclusion that through some trick or error of  nature you were born a woman rather than a man…or visa versa.

All that kind of thinking is a head-trip…a real mind game.  You will see what you want to see…you will feel what you believe you want to feel.

The mind is wicked…and highly deceptive.

For most of my life I have thought of myself as being unattractive…ugly in fact.  I never wanted mirrors arround…hated to take pictures…etc.   Because I hated seeing me.  It was not until I had to start taking pictures for my book cover…that I came to  realize that I am really not ugly.  In fact, I have to laugh…because of all the years I let get pass me believing myself to be ugly when I was not.

Then too, in my book I made a statement…which made me really have to think.  I state in my book, THE BISHOP’S WIFE, how I had been stalked at least 3 separate times in my life.  After writing that…I began to think about what it was those people saw in me that would have lead them to want to do that.  When I know many good-looking people…very good-looking…exceedingly good-looking…and they had never been stalked.

So, why me?

This is when I thought…again.

Here it was all those years I never realized that I was not ugly.   Because of my profession and always being the public eye…people gravitated to me.  And people who listen to you over the radio…

Well, they just fantasize  about everything…and they all believe they love you.  But I could not have looked that terribly bad…to have problems with 3 separate people at various times in my history.

But I never really knew until I looked into those pictures for my book…that I wasn’t as bad looking as I had thought  I had been for all of my years.  It is amazing.  But it was a mind game…which for me came about when I started thinking that I was not as good-looking as any of my sisters or brothers…as a young child.  And that shaped my thinking of myself for all of these years.

My mind had me tricked…I saw that which my mind allowed me to see.  And so I lived under that shell all of my life until about 6 months ago.

Now…back to the subject.

I was deceived by my mind a 2nd time…when I fell into lesbianism.  But thank God…I didn’t sink so far down that I ever thought about mutilating myself…with a sex change.

And yes…I had met some hardcore women…who wore men’s clothes and under garments.  Some even who  thought it manly to beat up their lovers and/or girlfriends.  But I never heard any one of them talk about changing their sex…or wanting to do so…no matter how much outwardly they tried to emulate men.

Yes, though we were living in confusion…we were far from being that confused.  And I thank God…from removing me totally from it.  I no longer dwell in a ball of confusion…and under the cloud of lesbianism.

But the article that I read of  Chastity Bono’s decision to under-go a sex change was so accepting of it…as though it were a natual transition in life…something acceptable. I would hate to think that any poor child or teenage or another adult currently battling with issues over their sexuality…should read that  article and think that such a thing is either natural…or really acceptable.  Not acceptable to you or me…but for themselves.  As it goes against nature.

And there have been many articles and books written on the subject…some opposing and some pro.  But there have been many regrets regarding that whole process.  And I have seen much sadness and anguish among those fighting that battle.

As I mentioned in at least 2 other blogs…I did know a guy…who when I met him was in the process of under-going his sex change.  I met him as the women he presented himself  to me to be…as he had started coming to Salsa Soul Sisters meetingsa lesbian organization in New York City…and we all at the time  believed that he was a woman.  But from the time I met him…and I cannot call him ‘her’…I would be lying if I said that.  But from the time I met him…in the back of my mind I always felt that something about him was out of whack.

I have met many gay guys…but had never met one trying to become a lesbian before.  And neither had anyone else in Salsa Soul Sisters either…until we all met him…who presented himself as a woman to us all.   But when they found out…nothing could hold them back…those black lesbian women.

One night those women stormed into Salsa and turned that meeting out…because they were not having a biological man…turned lesbian…or turning lesbian…within their organization and on their board.  And they meant every word of it…and voted that night ‘that no one born biologically a man could ever sit on the board of Salsa Soul Sister, Inc. or become a member of  Salsa.’     That was their sentiment…and they were right.  I did agree…and still agree even though I am no longer a member.

The fact is…regardless of the pills and surgery…you will always be what God created…biologically.  You can change your name…your hair style…your walk…talk…even your game…or anything  and everything else you want to change.  But underneath it all…your real DNA…can’t be changed.  It can be confused…I guess with all that medication.   But  who you are…is who you are.  It is who you really are…and that can’t be changed no matter what.     No matter how much you dislike it…or dislike yourself.

I don’t know when I saw it…but it was on television.  I think it was a Barbara Walters’ special.  It was one of the saddest and most horrifying shows I had watched in my many years of watching TV.  It was a show on parents allowing their children to cross-dress.  By this I mean…there are parents who are allowing their very young pre-teen children…sons or daughters to decide that they were not whatever sex they had been borned…and dressing like whatever they wanted to be.

It was horrifying.  Truly, horrifying.

It made me sick to see a  4 or 5 year old being allowed to demean himself  or herself  in that fashion.   And they looked hideous.

At such young ages children being bred in a continuous state of high confusion…and their own parents abetting them in doing so.  It was terrifying…absolutely terrifying.

In one of those stories, Barbara visits with a family who allows their little boy to dress as a little girl…long hair…the whole 9 yards.   The little boy has a baby sister.  Her cup and everything about her is pink…while everything for him was blue…do note the word ‘was.’

The boy wanted the pink cup…the pink this and the pink that.  Well, it really doesn’t  take a rocket scientist to figure that thing out.  The little boy had become jealous of his little sister.  I don’t know…maybe the parents stopped doting on him and became pre-occupied with his little sister.  So, he of course wanting his parents attention once again…he might desire to become his little sister…or some how take her place in order to regain their…his parent’s attention and love again.

So, what does his little confused mind decide to do?

He starts wanting what she has… her things… clothing…etc.  He develops a desire to replace her… by becoming her.   Thus, a desire to be a little girl… as in his confused little mind he views it as being the root cause and remedy to his little situation.

It is not at all that he really wants to be a girl.  But he desires his parents’ attention again.   Which if his parents had taken any time with him…it would obvious to them.   That the love he felt that they have taken from him and given to the little girl…his sister…he wanted it back.

Then there is this other side of the coin.  If the little boy doesn’t like boy stuff…toys, sports etc..

So, what if  he doesn’t grow up playing baseball…or basketball…or watching sports.  It doesn’t mean you have to put your stamp all over him…and say-

“I know what…we’ll call him girl.”

And  dress him up like one.

Yes…I do know that some gay guys…and even some women… claim that they knew they were gay from the craddle.  But closer examination on the matter…might bring them to some other opinion if they really sat down and looked back at things in their history that they may have forgotten.

It is a mind game.  Some kids grow up thinking that they are the biggest and the baddest.  Some that they are stupid and don’t know anything.  Some believing that they are beautiful…some that they are smart.  It can vary depending upon who they are…what their social-economic backgrounds… neighborhoods… family… schools… churches…etc.. and what is going on within their home.   But over time it almost always changes…our preception of ourselves…and the world around us…and how we view ourselves in it.

Imagine a little child…4 or 5 years old trying to fight that battle everyday.   Of  having to go to school everyday…and trying to interact with other children…dressed as a little girl when he is a little boy.  It is a ticket to suicide…or drug abuse…and self hate.

Most gay guys can’t even deal with issues from their history…family rejection…etc. when they reach older ages.   They battle those issues most of their lives.    Which is why many of them suffer from alcholism, drug addictions…and indulge so heavily in all types of dangerous sexual practices.

Yes, sadly…I have seen and heard many gay people…mostly men…crying over their broken relationships with their families…endless cycle of  broken love relationships…etc.   Crying over their  lives wreked in pain and sorrow.   Dealing with dying lovers…ex’s …rejections…regrets… etc…etc…  It is hard no matter whether straight or gay to deal with such things.  It’s hard.  But then to have the added burden of  being rejected by your classmates… churches…and society too…makes it all the more worst…and painful…and as a kid?

All across the gay community there are vast levels of self-hate…fear…and self-destruction.  It is sad…very sad.  So, how could any loving or caring parent indulge their child  in any such way as to let them suffer with such thoughts…and conflicts that they…themselves have probably placed upon their child in the first place?   Of which the child may end up battling and trying to fight…and deal with for the rest of their lives.   When all they…the parent or parents of that little boy… had to do was get rid of all that ‘pink and blue’ stuff…and stop setting up stereotypes…and road blocks for their son.   And tried to give him…their  son some quality time.   Rather than to assist him into the further creation of confusion in his little life…by buying him girls clothes etc…and engage him in trying to emulate something which the child is not.  He is not a girl…nor a joke.  Or a plaything…he is a real person…who is on his way to  being badly damaged.

Being a woman encompasses a variety of things.  We do and think differently from the male species.  Our tendencies towards giving, sharing, helping, family, responsibilities, listening, conversing with others, aiding, depth of compassion, commitment, emotions, emotional strenght etc…and so much more are all quite different from men.   It is  far more than one group having a different set of sex organs from the other.  And all the pills and operations…and therapy in the world is not going to change this.

I personally  think that that particular Barbara Walter’s special should have never been aired.  There are some things better not put out there for public consumption.  People start to get simular ideas…and start following suit…copying eveything they see and ear.   We sadly live in a world of people who have  stopped thinking for themselves…and merely seek to duplicate…follow…and do likewise.  And for some people  it is just simplier to assist certain behavior rather than try to work to stem it.

Isn’t that a horrible why to be?

Even worst…to have that kind of parent…or parents.

We would all have been in trouble with those kind of parents…that were that Barbara Walter’s special.  Many parents from time to time feel helpless…but they do not give in to their helplessness.  No, another force kicks in…and they step it up…to the next level.  Parents have to…because all parents are faced with challenges when it comes to their children…at some point or other.  And you just can’t throw up your hands saying-

“I just can’t do anything.”

At that point…some people know that there is one other thing.  They start to pray.  There is power in it.

Finally, no matter what  Chastity’s decision concerning trying to alter her sex…she will always be known as woman…who had a sex change…if she proceeds with the operation and all those pills (which she probably already has done seeing how they have released the story).    But she will never be known as ‘a man’…no matter what she does to herself.  People may pretend…but in the back of their mind will be the fact that she was and will forever be…woman.

Well, in between, Chastity’s decision to change her sex…and that supposed man having another baby (another subject that I said I was not going to touch…as I have already given him rather her too much of my time already)…it has been a very busy week.

In the end Chastity will always be a woman who had the operation.  That is how people will see her…never as a bonafided man.   That only comes by birth.  It is the way people think.  And it is true really… and we should keep it that way.

Besides, if you are truly unhappy with yourself…do you really believe that changing your sex is going to do it?

I say no.

True happiness is something that you have to find within you first.  Putting up pretenses…or  making superficial changes…only brings about more unhappiness… and sadness.

How can you feel happy…when you put up a bunch of pretenses?

I have sat on the trains (the subway) in New York and watched the drag queens.   Unless they were out partying and hanging with friends did I see any gaiety.  Most of  time when I saw them…I saw a lot of saddess…emptiness…and loneliness.

I also talked to some and knew some.  It is how I knew of the inner conflicts.  Which a lot of gay women have too.  I didn’t I did…but I guess I must have.  Because I am so happy that I am out of the life…and have no intentions of ever going back into it.

It is a hard life…and if  the  truth be told.  Life is not  easy for most of us.   And all of  us have found something which we don’t like about ourselves.

But we deal with those things without trying to destory ourselves in the process…or tear ourselves apart.    And that is how I feel about sex change operation.   It is very much like  trying to go against the grain.

One other observation…  Chastity’s girlfriend really looks a bit like her mother.

UPDATE: ON CHAZ (Monday, September 5, 2011)….recently read that she will be on ‘DANCING WITH THE STARS’ this season.  Needless to say there has been an outcry against it.  And I am not really going to say much on it…except this.

Look for her to be voted off the show early.  Controversy brings about higher ratings.  And I have no doubt that some people are going to tune in just to see Chaz’ transformation for themselves.

Chaz was smart in that she only elected to make some outward changes…and not have other parts of her body touched.  Which makes me think of a conversation that I had recently with a cousin.

That conversation was about gay men who had the operation.  My cousin was trying to tell me that when the so-called ‘bottom’ partner… and not all gay men think as my cousin was trying to tell me.

What she was trying to tell me… as if she really knew anything about which she was talking about… that there was a thing known to gay males as the ‘bottom’ partner and the ‘top’ partner.  That is while they are engaging sexually 1 male is always the 1 on the bottom, while the other sexual partner is the 1 taking him sexually from his position on the top.

While not all of them… gay males operate like that.  And how do I know… because not all gay women operate that way either.  Some do… but not most.

I know this because my cousin Vincent… a gay male… would tell me about some of his partners who would try to force him into taking them sexually… which he never did.  But Vincent was not the norm… and had lost partners because of that.  Anyway… my female cousin who was talking about this was talking like this was the norm for the masses… which is not true.

So, I told her that the real thrill in homosexuality did not come from anything more than knowing that it was ‘a man’ …or ‘a women’ depending upon the preference of the people dealing with each other sexually.   And I told her this in an attempt to explain that once someone went through the operation of having their sexual organs changed… that also changed the whole dynamics of their relationship.

Real homosexuals only want someon of their own sex …be it a man or women.  So, therefore if their lover underwent a sex change… they would cause many to get out of that relationship… because the person who underwent the sex change no longer had that part of them that attracted the other person to them in the first place.

Therefore, if the person’s mind becomes warted enough to want to take their body through some type of outter transformation… most elect to not touch their sexual organs.  Which is what Chaz had also elected not to do.

And even if  Chaz had chosen to do the entire thing …and get the whole thing done in terms of having had the final step done… the re-structuring of her sex organs… she still would be a woman.  No matter what she does.  It is utterly imposible to totally erase God’s stamp upon you …in terms of whom He has declared we shall be… male or female.

It is amazing to me how so many people like to talk about homosexuality as if they are in the know… and do not have any real understanding of it at all.

How in the world could my cousin…my female cousin… who had never really been in ‘the life’ as I had been… tell me anything about a life I was definitely a part of for many years… in regards to what our selections and sexual behaviors are that lifestyle?

I would know… because I lived the life.  And in it we… lesbian women were always tied in things… events and discussions etc. with the gay male population.  We shared spaces together, concerns, emotions, conflicts etc. all being homosexuals.  Which I was at that time… I was in the gay lifestyle.  And that is what Chaz is in… the gay lifestyle.

Having an operation can’t take you out of it… it can’t take you out of  being gay.  But it does indeed intrence you deeper in it.  Because you are making some extreme choices that later you might  just want to be able to step away from… if  or when your mind  …or prespective on this lifestyle changes.

This thing is deep…

17 and Pregnant… more onPalin …Foreclosures

I just finished having one of the most disappointing conversations a couple of days ago.  It was with a young lady who goes to our church and who is one of the friends of my son, who happens to be biology major at Harvard. 

Well, we got on the topic of Palin and her daughter, the one who is pregnant. 

At some job wherever she works…she said that if it were her who was pregnant the media would have been talking about ‘baby-mama’ this or that. 

And you know…she is right.

But because it is Palin’s daughter everything is okay ‘because this is what kids do now days.’

But is that an accurate assessment?

Does the fact that Palin and her daughter both being white make a difference in how teenage pregnancy is viewed in this country?

If Palin were a black woman and her daughter…of course…was black would she just been considered as another anti-black statistic?

Oh, you know…

“That is what those people do.  They don’t work…they just lay around having babies.”

Don’t tell me you haven’t heard that stereotype.

Had Barack Obama had a daughter who was 17 there is no doubt that the White House would be way out of his reach…and a very distant fairytale for him and his family.  He family would have been classified as ghetto, he and Michelle as being ‘no good’ parents.  And on top of it all they would be told that all black folks like to do is to make babies and collect welfare.

That has widely been a major stereotype that many black people have had to live with for most of our years here in America…with everybody failing to mention how they used breath us for the sole purpose of making children for which they sold off into slavery.  Because in this country when black folks were brought here…they didn’t even consider us human.  So, they treated us like animals.

I think it ironic that a black man should find himself in line to be the next President of the United States of America considering our history in this country.  When I think back on the black people who were tarred and feathered and then hung from trees…it makes you wonder about this country. 

Michelle Obama clearly how nothing to appologize for when she said-

“For the first time in my life-”

When Cindy McCain then came out saying-

“I have always been proud to be American.”

How very different a life and history of being American the 2 women have they both had.

Cindy will never be able to say her family was branded and herded, shoveled off into slavery, beaten and whipped, then made to be 2nd class citizens in this country. 

Now, here again comes this issue of double standards in America.  How America views white teenaged white girls getting pregnant, and how they view teenage black girls or hispanic girls getting pregnant.  And it is not the same.

One group is vilified and demonized while the other is covered and held pure even though.

Going back to that disappointing conversation…I must say I do see the draw back of too much Education when not properly measured.  It will corrupt some peoples ability to clearly look beyond the a highly tainted range of ideas infused into your head.

Though this young lady said had it been her…she would have been faced with the ‘mama-baby’ drama thang, but she did not see where Palin’s daughter being pregnant should matter though it would if it were Obama’s daughter.  And she refused to acknowledge that this way of thinking was a double standard.

If it matters for one then it should matter for both.  If Obama had a 17 year old daughter who was pregnant…and that could keep him form running for the White House.  Then the same should hold true for Sarah Palin…and nobody should back down off of her on this issue.  Because they wouldn’t if it were Obama.

Frankly, I think Palin is a con-artist and highly over-rated.  Too bad all the Republican hopes are on her and not on John McCain.

I keep hearing how the government is going to do something to help people in foreclosure.  Well, what about those people who waiting around for a couple of years now and have already lost what little they had to companies, banks and other predators who prepetrated upon?

Something should be done for these people too.   There should be some type of recourse for them financially…as it is alreay too little too late as far as they are concerned regarding their property.  And believe those foreclosure guys when they come to get you…they are like thiefs in the night.  And very very nasty about it.  I feel for everyone who has to suffer due to them.

And when exactly is this government help for current people in foreclosure come?

Will it come before these companies snatch the carpet from up under us?

The stats don’t lie, Mama/Baby-Daddy Drama

IT’S IN THE STATS…

Wow, I can’t believe that so many people are zeroing in on this thing and reading my stuff…and evidently nobody is disagreeing with me.  And I really don’t mind hearing from the other side…tell me off…disagree with what I have to say and I won’t hate you for it.  I may just not post it…that’s all.   Just kidding.

Do you think that when this has all been said and done that I might end up being a superstar?

NOT.

So, let me not continue to slap myself all across my back…Ooouch!  And take this time to thank you for tuning in…ahhhhh…I mean downloading this page.  Would hate to say…”my blog.”  Like I really own it.  That would just be too terribly big headed of me.  But thank you for doing so anyhow.  My mother thanks you…my father – well, let me stop…because they couldn’t possibly thank you.  But as their child and representative, I sincerely thank you.  So, keep reading and hitting me up.  I love hearing from you and I know alot of you have far more interesting things to say than I do.  So, let yourself run free.

BABY-MAMA/DADDY Drama…

It is going to unfold.  At this very time all those men who were so generous with their to sperm in order to assist those young school girls to get pregnant…can’t you just see them lawyering up right now?

I mean after all it’s a big story.  And somebody is going to want to be the first guy out of the box…to get his picture all over the papers and on Goodmorning America.

And that is the problem.  Every wrong deed somehow always ends up getting some type of glorification.  Murders on deathrow get lawyers who become their agents selling interviews to the highest bidders.

These people should all be taken quietly…and walked down a long dark hall to never be heard of again.  Then there wouldn’t be any such thing as “copycating” this or that.

I’m tried of reading and hearing news items about men killing their pregnant wives…after watching endless media attention to Scott whatever his name after he killed Lacey.  The guy was turned into a virtual urban legend and some kind of playboy.  He was a murder.

Look at how some kids want to dupicate these school massacres.  They all want to put on trench coats and wear dark sunglasses…and get into some kind of countercultural doomsday groove.  Those who conspire want to dupicate or somehow equal if not try to surpass the murdering spree of those 2 boys on that dark day at Columbine High.

It’s all that 15 minutes of flame thang…even Ojay has to keep doing something stupid in order to keep his face before the camera.  It is contagious.  And we are all hypocrites because we just can’t seem to get enough of it.  We hate it…yet we love it.

We have all heard  that saying, “That even bad press beats no press all.”

So,  what if they have to kill, mutilate, torture, demean, lie, scheme, fraud, rape, steal, jump out a window…some people will do it…and if they live afterwards…love all the attention that they are getting for it.  Or in the case of the kids that they get it after they are dead and gone…after having taken a few innocent people with them to the grave.  How morbid.

It is all very preverse.

MAMA/BABY-DADDY DRAMA SOON TO UNFOLD….

The mama/baby-daddy drama is about to unfold on those 17 teenage girls who star in the pregnancy pact story.  And look for grand-ma and grand-daddy’s to get into it.  It is all about money…Larry King will soon be calling.  And watch out for the copycats.

Have a good one.  Tonight maybe I will get into bed before 5 AM…I’m going through menopause and just cannot sleep.  I lay there…and my brain doesn’t even have enough sense to start counting sheep.   But at least ways you can rest.  I guess at least one us has to have her our ears to ground so she can share what what she hears with others.   God bless….  ©2008
